Eleven's pov:

Max: "We'll help you unpack, c'mon!"

Max grabbed my hand and we ran inside the house together. We didn't even have a little look around first, we just ran upstairs to pick out which one was going to be my room. I walked into the first one and it was perfect, there was plenty room and I already knew where I was going to place my bed.

Eleven: "This one, it's perfect."

Max: "Are you sure? We haven't even looked at the other rooms yet."

Eleven: "Yes. I'm sure."

Max: "Okay then, let's carry your bed upstairs."

Eleven: "No need, watch this."

I stretched my arm out and slowly lifted the bed into my room and placed it back down."

Max: "Holy shit! I forgot you could do that."

Now that my bed was in my room we could bring everything else in as well. Joyce came upstairs with all of my boxes and placed them inside the room. We opened the first one, it had stuff to decorate my room with. While we decorated my room I also talked to Max at the same time, we were already through most of the boxes. We only had two more left to unpack but first we decided to take a quick break. We walked down stairs to see that Joyce had made everyone lemonade. After we finished drinking, we ran back upstairs and continued unpacking while talking.

Max: "Hawkins has been fine I guess. It was kinda boring without you here though. I was stuck with the boys for an entire year! Can you believe that?"

I laughed,

Eleven: "Yeah, I bet they were annoying."

Max: "Incredibly annoying."

We both laughed together as I opened up the last box. It wasn't anything interesting, just my clothes.

Max: "So how was California then?"

Eleven: "Oh it was fine.."

Max: "Cool. Did you make any new friends."

Eleven: "Yeah.. Lots of friends.."

I went quiet after saying that. I didn't like lying, I was breaking the code of friends don't lie but I didn't want to tell her that I made no friends and every one bullied me. What would she think?

Max: "That's great! What are their names?"

Eleven: "Uhm.. Angela, Stacy.. Other people."

Max: "Hey are you okay?"

Eleven: "Yeah.."

Max: "What are your friends like?"

Eleven: "Really. Nice."

Max looked me straight in the eye and started talking.

Max: "El, you don't have to lie to me."

Tears were now forming in my eyes. There's was no point in trying to hide the truth anymore.

Eleven: "I didn't actually have any friends in school.. Everyone hated me. Angela she.. Bullied me.

Max: "WHAT! I'LL KILL HER!"

Eleven: "NO! It's fine now, I'm back in Hawkins so I don't have to worry about her anymore."

Max: "Sorry, i guess your right. But if anyone ever bullies you again I'll-

Eleven: "Yeah.. You'll murder them."

I felt alot better now I don't know why I didn't just tell her truth. Maybe I should tell her about the other thing that's been bugging me.

Eleven: "Hey Max, can I tell you something?"

Max: "Of course. What is it?"

Eleven: "It's about.. Mike. He's been acting different. Kinda weird. Not like his usual self. I don't really understand why."

Max: "Wait- so what's been happening with Mike and you?"

Eleven: "I feel like our relationship is changing. It's not just in California but before I moved aswell. I think we're slowly falling apart."

Max: "Oh! Why do you think that your falling apart?"

Eleven: "Well before I moved we broke up and when I went to spy on them, it didn't seem like he really cared. He was just eating chips and laughing."

Max: "Bastard."

Eleven: "Yeah.. It's not just that but also when he came to visit California. At first everything went really good we kissed and he even gave me flowers but when I read the note attached to it, it just said from Mike."

Max: "What's wrong with that?"

Eleven: "Because he said from instead of love Mike. It's like he's incapable of ever saying I love you! It wasn't just that note either it was everything single letter I ever got from him. Everything single time they all just said. From Mike from Mike FROM MIKE!

Max: "Hey, it's okay.."

Eleven: "He doesn't look at me the same way anymore. It's like he doesn't love me anymore. What should I do?"

Max: "I guess the best thing to do would be to talk to him about it and if he still can't even admit that he loves you. Well then he's not worth it."

Eleven: "Okay.. Thanks Max."

I smiled at her with tears in my eyes as we sat their staring at each other. Before standing up to finish unpacking.
