Why won't these feelings go away..?

Catch Up

I had finally finished class, after what seemed like forever. I barged past the people who were blocking the door and began strolling down the corridors.

Eventually, I walked past the gym and caught a small glimpse of Lucas. As expected he was practicing for his next big game. I still don't even get the fact that he still hangs out with those jerks in the first place. Especially since during break he had been following us along to the mall and many other places.

I shouldn't think about it too much, it's really up to him if he wants to be popular or not. He just has to acknowledge the fact that we're not going to be popular with him. Once I had finally gotten outside, I immediately spotted Dustin. I ran over to him and went to say hello until I noticed he was talking to Will. Well at least I now have a chance to talk to him and maybe he's forgiven me. However, this was not the case because as soon as he saw me, he instantly stopped talking.

Luckily, Dustin noticed this and decided to continue the conversation. This time including me.

Dustin: "Hey Mike, Will said he'll play dnd with us!"

Mike: "Oh, that's great."

After that I didn't know what else to say. It's pretty obvious that Will is still holding a grudge with me. I can't really blame him though. After all, I have been a huge asshole towards him. I just wish he would realise that I truly am sorry about everything and then we can finally be on good terms again.

Will: "Well I best get going to next period, don't want to be late on my first day."

Dustin: "Okay, see you later Will the wise."

Will chuckled before making his way to next period. I sighed as I watched him turn around then leave. Dustin seemed to take notice of this as he turned around to start interrogating me about it.

Dustin: "What's been up with you two lately?"

Mike: "Huh? Oh it's nothing.."

Dustin: "It doesn't seem like nothing. I mean you two are best friends after all."

Mike: "Well things have been really awkward for us lately."

Dustin: "And why is that?"

I sighed, giving in to tell him the truth. Well some of it anyway,

Mike: "We sorta got into a fight yesterday and Will is really upset about it."

Dustin: "Oh.. Well I'm sure he'll forgive you soon. Then before you know it, you two will be really close again!"

Mike: "Thanks Dustin."

"Anytime" the curly hair boy said before leaving.

I soon followed behind him, making my way to the classroom. As soon as I entered the classroom, I sat down at a desk near the back. A few minutes later, another person walked into the classroom. I assumed it was Will (since that's just my luck). To my surprise, I looked up to see Eleven standing at the front of the classroom. She awkwardly introduced herself to the class as Jane then proceeded to claim a desk right beside me.

Eleven: "Hi Mike!"

It was weird hearing El's voice, even though it hasn't been that long since we last talked. Actually now that I think about it, the last time we talked to each other one on one was when she broke up with me..

Mike: "Hey El, it's been a quite a while huh..?"

Eleven: "Yeah.. But there's no harsh feelings by the way."

Mike: "Of course not! I'm just glad we can stay friends after all that's happened."

Eleven: "How have you and Will been doing by the way? I noticed that you haven't been talking to each other."

Mike: "Oh! We got into a bad fight so he's not very happy with me at the minute.."

Eleven: "Awh.. Well I'm sure you guys will make it up to each other. And there's another thing I want to ask."

Mike: "Oh, what is it?"

Eleven: "Well.. Max told me that you like Wi-"

Teacher: "JANE HOPPER STOP TALKING AND PAY ATTENTION!"

Eleven: "Sorry miss."

I looked back down at my book. Great now I'll never get to know what she was going to say. All of a sudden, El passed a note onto my desk.

To Mike, meet me behind the school after class :)

I'm sorry  about how inactive I've been lately. I just lost most of my motivation to write this anymore. I promise that there will be more chapters soon but I am finishing this story of early since I don't have any ideas for it anymore. I hope you all have a great day and stay hydrated <3
