" Are you scared?" LanLan side eyed her brother. This person is really annoying ah, she thinks.

They're currently driving towards school. LanLan knew that the setting of the novel were in the world of old money, and seeing the mansion that the Bai's live in it was really worthy of them being called one of the richest and influential in China.

LanLan was wide eyed and star struck the whole time they were driving. She's never been outside of the Philippines, and this was her seeing China for the first time.

And now, staring at the huge gates of the school opening to let their car in. LanLan started to get a little nervous. She knew of schools that were situated at the tops of mountains, but those were in the Philippines with it's natural landscape of mountains.

This was in the middle of the city! And the school she was seeing was like a modern version of Hogwarts.

Ohhhh, I'm really screwed! I don't know anything about being rich. We were average middle class at best in my past life.

Not to mention she was from the province and not the city. She'll be laughed at!

Seeing Bai LanLan's expression get colder and colder. Bai Ryu chuckled and nudged her.

" Yah, don't be nervous. You're a Bai. The Bai princess no less." He says in a teasing manner. " If anyone dares bother you, our family will deal with them swiftly."

His expression frosted in that last sentence. Now both of the siblings has similar frosty expressions. One was nervous, the other raring to protect his little sister.

LanLan saw many expensive cars parked in the parking lot. Some of them more discreet, like Bentley's, or like the car she was sitting now which is a Rolls-Royce, the others were glaringly expensive like Bugattis' and Lamborghini's.

She's never seen such luxurious cars nor seen such luxurious parking lots, or even luxurious school.

LanLan counted 5 fountains at the entrance alone. She could see walls of garden roses too.

" What are you doing? Get off." LanLan was once again brought back by the voice of her brother.

Bai Ryu had opened the door and was gesturing for her to come down. She hurriedly, gracelessly got off the car with her things.

She then noticed several people looking at them.

She was wondering why, and she remembered that the Bai's were quite famous.

But, weren't those looks a bit too, resentful? What's with them, why do they look like I owe them thousands of dollars or something.

One girl in particular had a nasty glare directed at her. Bai LanLan, unconsciously threw a cold glare at her. The girl recoiled. Bai LanLan's face was naturally cold and intimidating, she was a cold beauty through and through. So this glare was particularly icy.

Bai Ryu too, noticed the stares, and his expression grew colder as well. So both siblings were standing there with mirroring frosty expressions, that it feels as if winter had come.

" Come, I'll take you to your class. Mother had arranged your class president to inform you of your classes, and other things. "

Ryu started walking to an elevator door and LanLan expressionlessly followed him, keeping silent.

Because of the stares directed her way, LanLan was unable to appreciate all the luxurious things around her. The novelty of the experience quickly wore off and what was left was a nervousness that ate at her.

To other people though, her frosty expression certainly did not seem very nervous.

When they came to the 11th grade building, a girl came bouncing to them. She was very pretty and cute. Like a bunny. She was also very fair, and it seems, very excited to meet LanLan and her brother.
