I take the package from Jace and open it. I look at it then open the cover. I look through it looking at all the pictures. Jace looks at it with me as we laugh at some of the goofier pictures. They are of my mom as a shadow hunter, but as we go through it we get into pictures of me as a baby, toddler, preschooler, kid, and teen. I close the scrapbook smiling. Jace asks, "I wonder why she gave that to you? Think maybe she is trying to get you to let her back into your life?"
"No, it's a birthday gift. Tomorrow's my birthday." I tell him.
As I'm walking into the bathroom he says, "I know that I didn't know if she was getting you anything though."
I just laugh, and grab my clothes. He gets up and follows me to the bathroom. As I turn to shut the door he moves in front of it.
"Jace move so I can get in the shower." I tell him.
He replies, "So."
"So leave. I have to get undressed to take a shower. Or do you expect me to take a shower in my clothes?" I ask him.
"What can I not be in here while my fiancé is taking a shower?" He inquires.
I tell him, "I don't care if your in here while I'm taking a shower, but you can't be in here while I'm getting undressed; yet."
He walks out of the bathroom, and I shut the door. I undress and get in the shower...
