Preparing for Patrol

I go change and then come over to Jace's room. This time I don't knock and I find him laying on his bead shirtless. His eyes are closed but I can't tell if he is asleep or not. I walk over to him and slip my boots and weapons belt off. Then I lay down beside him. He rolls over and hugs me. I pull him close and he whispers to me, "Took you long enough. I didn't know if you were coming over or if I would have to go over to your room for you to lay down with me."
I reply, "I had to change. Plus why would I sit in my room all alone over there when you are right across the hall?"
He laughs and shrugs his shoulders. I say, "You need to get dressed. What if someone knocks and your not dressed? I don't think we need to give Izzy anymore reason to be even more curious than she already is, and if Simon is with her when she comes then he will get mad at you and me. You heard what he said yesterday, he will hurt you if you have touched me. Though I think it would be more him being the one getting hurt."
He laughs and hugs me tighter then asks, "Do you want me to put a shirt on? I can get up right now and do that if you want."
"I never said I wanted you to get dressed. I just said you needed to get dressed." I tell him.
"Then it's settled I'm not going to put my shirt on." He tells me.
We lay there for awhile in each others arms. Then he tells me to roll over. So I do and when I do he pulls my tank top up and over my shoulders. Then he starts rubbing my back. I reach behind me and stop him, and pull his arms around me. Then, I roll over so I'm facing him again, and I lean in to him and we both fall asleep.
Someone knocks at the door and wakes us up. I look at Jace and all at once we are both scrambling around looking for our shirts. I find mine first and start to pull it over my head; when the knock at the door comes again and this time the person knocking, Alec, says, "Jace if you don't open the door I'm going to just come in." I see Jace's shirt at the end of his bed and hand it to him while he is pulling it on I walk over to the door and open it.
Alec doesn't look surprised when he walks in. He just looks at the unmade bed then back at us. He shakes his head then tells Jace, "I'm going out on patrol tonight Izzy doesn't want to go she said she went last time. Did you and Clary want to come or did you two want to stay here and sleep together?"
I tell him, "I'll come, Alec. I haven't been on patrol the last few nights."
Jace replies to him, "First of all we were not sleeping together we were just laying in the bed asleep, you woke us up when you knocked, and yes I'll come."
"Good, we will have a full patrol team tonight. Get ready, we leave in an hour." Alec tells us.
I follow Alec out of the room and then walk over to my room to change into my gear. After I change I walk over to Jace's room to get my weapon's belt that I had left over there with my boots. When I walk in Jace is in the bathroom getting ready. I walk over to the bed where my weapons belt is hanging on a bed post. I put it on then pull on my boots. I walk into the bathroom where he is trying to apply runes to his right arm. I take the stele from him and finish applying his runes. He then takes the stele from me and starts to apply my runes. He has one last rune to do on my shoulder when Alec barges in.
Alec starts pacing the floor and says, "I can't believe Isabelle! Clary, I am this close to killing that mundane you brought here. I found him making out with Isabelle in her room. When I came to check and see if she was sure she didn't want to go on a patrol I found her laying on her bed with that mundane kissing her, and starting to unbutton her clothes while she started to take his off!"
Jace walks out of the bathroom holding my hand saying, "Alec calm down, Izzy can take care of herself. You know that."
Alec yells, "She just met the guy and she's already going to sleep with him, Jace. That sounds to me like it's not her fault, it's the mundanes."
"I'll go talk to Simon, and if I need to I will smack a little bit of sense into him. That he should be a little bit more careful about the girls he tries to sleep with." I say pulling on my gloves.
I walk out of the room as Alec sits down and Jace tries to get him to let him rune, Alec. I find Simon in the hall outside of Isabelle's room. I walk up to him and slap him across the face as I start to say, "What the hell, Simon? Trying to sleep with Isabelle? What are you thinking? I think that if Alec hadn't barged into Jace's room while we were getting ready for patrol you would probably either be dead or in the infirmary! Listen I don't care if you sleep with Isabelle but do it with doors locked, and when you think that everybody is asleep. Okay? Okay."
Simon replies, "Sorry, we thought that you guys had already left, and we know that Marisa and Robert left after breakfast for Idris. But we'll try and be more careful from now on."
I shake my head, turn around, and head back to Jace's room. When I get there Alec has cooled off, and is letting Jace rune him without protest. I tell Alec what I did and had told Simon, and that seemed to relax him even more. I was careful to keep from telling him the last part of what I told Simon, though...
