After breakfast Simon and Aline go back up to their rooms to go back to sleep, and Magnus goes back home. Adele, Alec, Jace, Iz, and I all go up to the training room.
When we get up to the training room Adele sits down on a bench and puts her head in her hands. I walk over to her pulling out my stele.
"Here, let me fix your hangover." I say taking one of her arms in my hands.
I quickly place three iratzes on her right forearm, and tuck my stele back in my boot.
After a few minutes she stands up shaking her head. Then she says, "Thanks, not completely gone, but it's still a lot better."
"Yeah, sorry. If you had a parabatai they could apply a stronger rune, but..." I trail off shrugging my shoulders.
"Yeah, you are living the dream. Perfect fiancé and badass parabatai. What I wouldn't do for that." Adele says laughing as she picks up a set of throwing daggers.
A smirk plasters itself on my face as I walk over to where Isabelle is punching a punching bag. I quickly wrap my hands and walk over to hold the bag for her.
Izzy swings at the bag as she says in a low voice so only we can hear each other, "So you don't think that was the slightest bit weird?"
"What? What Adele said?" I ask as Isabelle roundhouse kicks the bag sending it and me back a few feet.
"Yeah, I mean she's been eyeing Jace the whole time this morning. Have you really not noticed?" Izzy says looking over my shoulder across the room at I assume is Adele.
I look back at Adele over my shoulder to see her staring over at Jace as he spars with Alec. Immediately my heart rate picks up and I lose focus on holding the punching bag. Isabelle's fist connects with the bag and sends me landing on the ground with a thud.
"Clary! God my head!" Isabelle yelps out as I sit up. She then kneels down next to me and asks, "Are you alright? I can tell your heads hurting."
"Yeah, nothing an iratze can't fix." I say as Jace and Alec hurry over with Adele on their heels.
Isabelle pulls her stele out as Jace reaches me. She applies an iratze to my collar bone.
"I am so sorry, Clary. You had a hold of the bag so I thought you were ready." Izzy says pulling me to my feet.
"I know, Iz. In fact it was your fault I was distracted... remember?" I ask as Jace hugs me and the three return to their training, with Adele still staring at Jace.
I turn back to the punching bag and round house kick it as Izzy watches Adele. The bag flys off its hinges into the wall as I land.
"Oh my Angel! Clary, you need to sit down. Come on, rafters." Izzy says and we both climb up to the rafters and sit down beside each other.
"What if... what if happens again, Iz? What if he does the same thing?" I ask staring down at the three shadowhunters training.
"I've already stated that I would castrate him, but if you don't like plan A I've got a back-up plan. Plan B is if he hurts you again, we leave. We will go to Idris, the London Institute, or maybe the Shanghai Institute... I don't know, but we'll go somewhere safe. I've got your back no matter what happens, Girl, and you've got mine."
"What about Simon?" I ask laughing a little.
"He can deal with a long distance relationship. You're my parabatai whither you goest, I will go. Simon can deal with it." Izzy says wrapping an arm around my shoulders.
"Come on, parabatai, let's go get coffee. Girls only, no boyfriend's allowed." I say standing up.
She smiles and we grab the two ropes in front of us. We swing out and jump. We hit the floor with a thud, and walk out the door. We grab our jackets and walk out to the elevator.
"We have been up in those rafters too long. The boys have already left, and so has Adele. It's already noon. Instead of a coffee bar let's go to Taki's I'm hungry." Isabelle says as we reach the ground level.
"So you still worried about who know who and castrating it?" Isabelle asks as we walk out the Institute gates.
"Well yeah, I mean he's an idiotic player who can't keep his hands on just one girl. I've had a hard enough time controlling him. Why do you think I haven't went to his room?" I ask raising my eyebrows as we turn down the street Taki's is on.
We reach the restaurant a few minutes later an show the ifrates (warlocks who can't do magic) our runes, and walking in. As soon as my eyes see the blonde and Adele I stop. I reach down for a blade in my weapons belt, but I'm stopped by my parabatai.
"Give me your weapons belt, Clary." She says turning me to face her.
"Isabelle..." I say as tears start to form at the edges of my eyes.
Izzy slips the belt from my waist, and around her own. She pulls a dagger from my belt, and walks over to them. I stay on her heels, but have a staring contest not looking up as Isabelle says, "Adele, you better leave before I decide to slit your throat. Jace Herondale, I am going to castrate you. You idiot. You just got her back, and you are already hurting her." I hear the ring of the blade being stuck in the table, then she continues, "We are leaving. Unfortunately Clary here doesn't want you castrated, so we are going to go to Plan B and leave. Come on, Clary."
"Clary. Clary I'm sorry." Jace says as Isabelle gently pushes me back out of his reach with a low growl.
"Back off." She growls out.
I pull the ring out of my pocket that I had thankfully not found a new chain for yet. I look up, and set it down on the table as Alec comes in.
Iz and I turn and head for the door, but Alec stops us. Isabelle explains to him what happened and as the door to Taki's closes we hear Alec scolding Jace saying, "You are such an idiot! Can't keep your hands to yourself can you..."
He's cut off as the door closes behind us, and we go back to the Institute.
When we reach Isabelle's room we hurriedly pack weapons, clothes, and gear. After throwing everything into our bags we decide we are going to the London Institute.
"Okay, uh let's go to London, I guess." I say finishing drawing a portal.
"It's gonna be alright, babe. We'll get through this together." Izzy says as we pick up our bags.
I nod and we step through the portal.
As we whirl through the portal I feel Izzy's hand in mine. After a few seconds we are dropped in to a library.
"Oh my god!" We hear a woman shout in surprise. We both look up to see two girl a few years younger than us staring at us in shock, both with a stele in their hands.
"Well, we are in the London Institute aren't we?" Izzy asks as we get to our feet.
"Uh... uh... oh! Yeah! You are in the London Institute, specifically the Institute's Library. I'm Gabriela Rosewood and this is Jordan Cartwright. We're parabatai." The girl says pointing to the other girl who has dark gold hair and bright golden eyes. Gabriela herself has jet black hair and hazel eyes that shimmer green in the light of the Institute's library.
"Izzy, it's... I'm gonna be sick." I say sinking into a chair close by.
I put my head in my hands as Isabelle says, "I'm Isabelle Lightwood and this is Clarissa Fairchild. We are also parabatai."
"Is she alright?" I hear the girl named Gabriela ask.
Isabelle's face appears in front of me as she says, "It's your friend's eyes. Those eyes whipped her to pieces just about a half-hour ago. Clary, you need to calm down. He's not here, you are alright. Come on, calm down."
"Scotch Vodka, Iz. Let's play, now." I say looking around the room quickly as my foot starts tapping the tile floor nervously.
"No. No alcohol. You don't need alcohol. You need to calm down. Look at me." Isabelle says as her phone starts buzzing along with mine in my pocket. Izzy looks at hers and shuts it off than slips mine out of my pocket and does the same. I look in to her eyes and she continues, "Clary, he doesn't know where we are. He is not here. We can start over here. Simon and I can have a long distance thing, but I don't care about me, I care that you are alright, and you're not. Now, we are going to go talk to Tessa Grey. I don't want you to do what Alec did when he and Magnus broke up."
We hear someone clear their throat and our heads snap up. I immediately regret it as I am staring into Jordan's deep golden eyes. They are the same color has his were, so I have to look back down at the floor before I start crying. I blink rapidly as Jordan asks, "Did I do something wrong?"
"No... no you didn't. Clary's ex had golden eyes that color. He cheated on her, with one of our friends. We just need to talk to Tessa Grey. She can help her. Ummmm... can you take these bags up to our rooms? I'll take our weapons bag, but I don't want to leave Clary." Izzy says as a calloused hand pulls me to my feet. I lean my head on her shoulder as she picks up our weapons bags.
"Yeah. I hope she gets to feelin better." Gabriela says as we start walking. I trust Isabelle to keep me headed in the right direction, and to not let me run in to anything as she slips my phone back into my jacket pocket.
"Stop having a staring contest with the ground. It's not like you." Isabelle says as I notice we are outside.
