Welcome back once more to Air Mango. We "hope" you will enjoy the flight (again... this is getting old...). Here is your captain, Hope:
Today was a pretty good day. Though I'm sure my lunch bag would beg to differ...
I'll explain why soon enough.
The morning was Geography (ugh), but Ms. I wasn't here, so Raven and I kind of slacked off. Since Raven didn't have a textbook, she came over to share mine. We were told to take notes, so I read aloud while Raven wrote stuff. Eventually, it got really boring. That's when I saw a book we used to use SO much back in grade 6. It was full of stories, poems, and the like. I asked Taylor to get it but he was blind so he didn't see it. So I got up and got it myself. The rest of the two periods consisted of us reading and writing notes when the teacher came around, but looking down to our laps, where the other book was, when she left. It was most enjoyable - and memorable.
We had two Language periods afterwards, in which we simply did presentations. I read through most of them ;-), but somehow, I managed to listen and read at the same time. Jo, sitting next to me, was actually watching, but when Ms. S asked about something the presenter said, I knew, but she didn't. Surprising, I know.
And here comes the part about lunch time!
For the past two weeks or so, Paige and I haven't been able to go to the park because the Yearbook was tying us down. However, I am very happy to say that the Yearbook is all done with editing and the like, and was successfully sent to the printers last Friday.
YAY.
Today, we were free, as we were for the past three(?) school days. I walked to the park with Paige, and we sat down on the bench, but then she ditched me to go look for food from other people. I sat there and ate while I watched all the people on top of the shelter. I used to eat there with "the squad" but it got too crowded. I still visit sometimes, but when I do, I always seem to go at the wrong time.
I noticed Jennifer coming around with her "begging bowl" or so she calls it, to ask people for food too. But, like I said before, I just sat there. I just observed, as creepy as that sounds.
Eventually, Paige came back and sat down, and we talked and ate. Usually, we sat with Lila, Melissa, Jennifer and Hayden, but not today. I don't know. They were sitting in front of the swings, but that was in the shade, which I was not in the mood to sit in. Besides, they were sitting on the ground. Pshhh.....
After I finished my lunch, I thought to pay "the squad" a visit. I went up there and said," Am I going to regret coming here?" and Reno immediately replied," YES."
I guess he was right, because I bolted as soon as I was elucidated on their discussion.
We didn't do a lot after that - I suggested that we go to the other side of the sidewalk in the Park, so we did. By "we," I mean Jennifer, Lila, Melissa, Paige, and I (Hayden had chosen not to sign out today - apparently she was staying with Shane). Lila and I took a couple pictures on her phone, and we talked about... I can't even remember. I just remember it was G rated (unlike "the squad"). Paige eventually lied down with her hood on, and you know the seam line in the middle of the hood? Well, hers was right in the path of a dandelion - it was really odd. Lila took a picture and showed her and she was like WHATTT?!
