"Chapter one: The end of a story and the beginning of another one," she read gently, her sky-blue eyes read the first few lines before reading them aloud to the rest. "This story begins on 25 December 1979 with the birth of special twins.

Predictably, on Christmas Day everyone was smiling as they congratulated everyone in sight, children were running around the corridors playing with each other while being watched over by their parents and the nurses in charge. The paediatric ward of the hospital was undoubtedly the most cheerful on this day, with only the laughter of children and adults to be heard."

"They always give sweets to the children," commented some happy people who had to pass through the hospital at Christmas, most of the ward always beaming with joy.

"Away from that happy world," Miss Evans continued, "in a wing away, so as not to startle the little ones with the shoutings, was the obstetrics and gynaecology ward. It was a quieter area compared to the other, where the solitude of the night was more present as there were not so many children fluttering around. In one of the rooms, the screams of a woman and her doctors could be heard. The woman was in labour.

"One more push! I can see his little head already!" she encouraged the woman, getting her to push once more.

The baby came out of its mother and not long after, its cry could be heard. Loud and loud.

"There's another one!" the doctor announced, handing the newborn to one of the nurses as she spotted the head of another baby in the mother's womb."

Many women in the place were delighted at the surprise of another baby instead of just one, it was well known that witches had developed complications in childbirth over time. So much so that even conceiving one baby was difficult, let alone two.

Of course, there were women who were not affected by these complications in the slightest, as was the case with Molly Weasley, much to the displeasure of many, for she did not follow wizarding traditions and managed to convince her husband to set them aside, causing the Weasley household to go into decline.

Why were they not rewarded for following the traditions but someone who did not follow them was rewarded?

"Shit!" the woman cursed as she pushed once more, this wasn't supposed to happen.

"They are very healthy babies, a boy and a girl," the doctor reported when it was all over a few minutes later. "Congratulations, it seems to be a Christmas miracle," she commented with a smile at the unexpected baby.

"Send them to an adoption centre, don't bring them near me," she said when she saw the nurse's intentions to bring the newborns to her. "I don't want them near me."
