The book soon found its way into the hands of the Black heir, who did not hesitate to open it and watch the letters appear on the blank page.
"Chapter Four: The insistence of the Deputy Headmistress, Minerva McGonagall," Regulus began to read, catching everyone's attention.
Some looked at the teacher in bewilderment, what was with that title?
"Minnie!" the Marauders called out with a smile.
"Professor McGonagall," she corrected, giving them her stern look.
"I didn't know you were like that," the older Black brother continued mischievously.
The professor sighed as she looked at the parents of the young Black boy and the young Potter, as if she was telling them that they were a hopeless case to her.
The Potters and Blacks looked apologetic, but the tiny smiles of amusement on their faces gave them away.
"The boa constrictor's escape got Harry the longest punishment of his life," Regulus continued, "and by the time he was allowed out of his cupboard, the summer holidays had begun."
"And how many days were they exactly?" asked Lily Evans, looking at Hadrian and forgetting that it had already been mentioned in the previous chapter.
"Nick's birthday was on the 23rd of June, wasn't it?" Adhara commented thoughtfully, adding to the annoyance of many, especially the Potter family.
Petunia Evans didn't know how to feel about it, still not understanding the reason for her behaviour. She wanted to find out the truth, and one thing that relieved her greatly was that her strange behaviour would only be present in this book because of her nephew's words.
That meant that they had discovered the reason and found a solution, right?
"How do you remember that?" Ronald asked in surprise. "You hardly ever celebrate it and you still forget about Draco's sometimes."
Adhara tended to forget everything she considered insignificant and even if Dudley had reformed, Adhara didn't hold him in the same esteem as the others.
"It was fun," she replied with a shrug, resting her head on Lord Slytherin's shoulder.
Dudley had broken his new video camera, crashed his remote-controlled plane and, on his first outing on his racing bike, had run over Mrs Figg as she crossed Privet Drive on her crutches.
"Poor Mrs Figg," Lady Tonks commented quietly to her husband.
Harry was glad that school was over, but there was still no escaping Dudley's gang, who visited the house every day. Piers, Dennis, Malcolm and Gordon were all big and stupid, but as Dudley was the biggest and stupidest of them all, he was the boss. The others were very happy to play Dudley's favourite sport: hunting Harry.
