“Who would like to read?”
“I would like to,” Lady Tonks raised her voice as she put her daughter in her husband's arms and the book came into her hands.
“How much longer are we going to read?” Nymphadora asked, tired of sitting still and unable to move.
“If you like, we can create a little space for the children to play while we continue reading,” Hermione suggested with a smile.
The younger children were interested in that and looked to their parents to agree, although Molly looked reluctant she had no choice as her husband agreed as well as Lord and Lady Tonks, she was going to be in the minority.
As soon as they saw that the adults had agreed the children ran to the newly created soundproofed play area. Little Bill carried Percy there while keeping an eye out for Charlie, as well as the little Tonks.
The adults smiled as they watched the children play with the toys that had also appeared. It must have been boring for them to listen to the reading when they didn't quite understand what was going on.
Lady Tonks opened the book again and as the words formed, she looked at the hologram of little Harry lying on the floor with Hagrid's coat, being used as a blanket, over him.
“Chapter six: Diagon Alley,” she began to read, drawing everyone's attention away from watching the children play and towards the hologram.
Dumbledore was restrained, not that anyone had noticed, in his place, unable to move to prevent him from trying to do something stupid, courtesy of Adhara. Who enjoyed watching him try to do something unsuccessfully and have to give up in the end as he watched her with hatred. It was actually fun and the most interesting thing at the time.
“Is he trying to get into your mind again?” Lord Slytherin whispered as he couldn't take his eyes off the headmaster.
“He's trying to stop this,” she denied with a sly grin, “too bad he can't move and he can't talk. Poor thing,” she added as she listened to Lady Tonks.
“As Harry stood up, he looked with bewilderment at the giant sleeping on the sofa, the first thing that crossed his mind was how his cousin had grown so big.”
“Drian.”
“I had just woken up,” he excused himself.
It wasn't until he noticed the coat he was using as a blanket, and the sound of something tapping at the window, that he remembered what had happened the night before.
