“I-I would like to read,” Peter Pettigrew said nervously, raising his hand to let them know who was speaking.

No one refused and Haruka was quick to send him the book, he was nervous to have everyone staring at him but he was also curious about the future. He also wanted to be the first to know what would happen in that chapter.

Chapter thirteen: The Mirror of Oesed,” he read after taking a deep breath to calm himself down.

No one interrupted him, perhaps because the title didn't say anything interesting, or because they could hear the nerves in his voice.

Christmas was drawing nearer and nearer and with it the Slora twins' birthday. The lake was frozen and the Weasley twins had been punished for enchanting several snowballs to chase Professor Quirrell and hit him in the back of the turban.

Due to the freezing weather few owls were flying overhead —including Rumi, Adhara's owl. Rumi continued her journeys to deliver letters as if she didn't mind the cold, though she still stayed in Hagrid's care to rest sometimes, usually flying to deliver the mail to Aelia, who always treated her with affection and let her warm up.

Everyone seemed impatient for the winter holidays to begin. While the Common Rooms and the Great Hall kept their fireplaces burning, the corridors remained frosty and strong winds beat against the windows of the classrooms.

Due to the cold in the classrooms, Professor Snape's classes had become somewhat torturous as it was the only one held in the dungeons, where the cold was felt more than ever.

“It should be forbidden to set foot in the dungeons in winter,” some whispered, hugging themselves.

Going there was horrible for the students, but at the same time they were relieved to know that as soon as they entered the classroom a wave of warmth would sweep over them, but the bad news was that after class they would have to face the infernal cold again.

Harry Potter didn't hate Potions lessons in the winter, he hated the walk to and from them, where the cold was in his bones.

“Amen,” agreed many who loved the subject but hated the winter cold they had to endure every year.

Everyone seemed impatient for the winter holidays to begin. All except the Slora twins and Aine Egan Kisaragi, for they knew that when they started Adhara would return to Privet Drive and it would be the first time the four of them would be spending Christmas apart.

“She's going to see us! We're meeting her!” Haruka exclaimed, remembering what was said at the beginning of the reading.

Adhara would come to see them at Christmas.

“Yeah, we heard you,” Orien mumbled in annoyance, though you could see the smile on his face.

Professor McGonagall had made a list of students who wished to stay at Hogwarts for Christmas, Harry, Lucien and Egan signed up immediately. Harry was disappointed to learn that he would not be spending Christmas with Adhara either, but at the same time he was glad to know that Aelia would not be spending Christmas alone.
