After leaving Baba's palace, Haru and Bulma made their way through a deserted land. Nothing but sand in sight.
Bulma: Water.... I need.... water....!
She aggressively yet tiredly stated as she panted heavily and used a stick to support herself from falling over.
Haru: Here, have a mouthful, but don't drink it all.
He informed her before he handed her a water-pouch, which she took without hesitation.
Haru continued walking forward, something catching his eye. He spotted a small village not far from they were.
Haru: Bulma! There's a village~~~
He was left speechless once he turned around and found bulma holding an empty water-pouch in her hand with a satisfied look on her face.
Haru: You drank the whole water?
Bulma: Yes, because i was thirsty! I need to stay hydrated. Unlike you, my beautiful skin is affected by the sun's heat.
She told him, forcing Haru to give her a disappointed look. His skin was turning red from the heat, and since he wore no shirt, it was clearly affecting him even more.
Haru: There isn't a single person in the world who isn't affected by the sun.
Bulma: Oh, stop whining. Grow up. You're a man.
With a heavy sigh, Haru just moved on, knowing arguing with her would go nowhere.
Haru: Anyway, let's keep moving. I see a village not far from here.
Bulma: A village?!
She happily asked, getting her strength back.
Bulma: I can finally take a bath and get to sleep on a real bed!
Excitement filling her voice, she dropped the stick and ran off surprising Haru a little.
Haru: I guess drinking all that water gave her some energy back.
He told himself before he jogged after her, making sure he led her to the village before she led them to the wrong path.
Not long after, they made it to the small village, almost all the doors were shut. They found no people. It was almost like the village was deserted.
Haru: What is going on here?
Haru asked confusedly as he and Bulma ascended into the village.
Bulma: Oh boy..... This place is giving me the creeps! It's like it's haunted!
Haru: Hello? Is anyone there?
He asked, yelling out and calling for any villager to show themselves. He got no response, and that confused Haru even more since he was so certain that he could hear people's whispers from the houses nearby.
Bulma: Come on, Haru, let's go! I'd rather stay out in the wild than stay in this village for even a second.
Haru: Guess no one wants to talk for some reason. It's almost like they're afraid of something.
Bulma: If that's the case, then we should definitely leave right now!
She informed him before she dragged him away. Giving him no choice. Well, that is until a door opened.
???: Wait!
Bulma: Huh?
Both Bulma and Haru came to a stop and turned around to face the direction the voice came from. An old man stood at the door to his house.
