After his arrival, the exhausted Haru took a short nap before his peace was disturbed by what seemed like a gentle bell ringing. He arose from his slumber and stretched, hopping back up on his feet.
He took a quick look at what surrounded him and he saw nothing but a small room that contained a door, a bathtub, three closed pots and a few tables and shelves.
Haru: Is this… the tower?!
He questioned walking around the room trying to see if there was more to it.
Haru: I remember Bora saying I'd meet a guardian once I make it to the tower… but it's just an empty room.
He approached the three closed pots and opened the first one. It contained water which brought out a smile from him.
Haru: This must be the sacred water the guardian preserves.
???: That's no sacred water.
Haru, alerted by the unannounced presence, turned around but found no one else in the room.
???: Look into the pot and in return, it will let you see!
Haru: See what? And… who are you?
???: Just look at the water, kid.
Haru shifted his head back to the pot and stared at the water. The water suddenly displayed a scene of when he first encountered Bulma and Goku. The water then disappeared, startling him.
Haru: That's… my first encounter with Goku and Bulma!
He anxiously moved onto the middle pot and took the lid of it, staring into the water again. The water this time displayed a scene of Yamcha and Krillin sparring at Master Roshi's Island. The water disappeared leaving the pot empty.
Haru, lost for words, moved onto the final pot and took off its lid, staring into the water one last time. The water displayed three scenes. The first scene it showed was a fierce Ogre destroying a village on top of a snowy mountain. The second scene showed Master Roshi and an elderly man who wore a crane cab. And the final scene displayed by the water was Krillin's body laying cold on the floor.
Haru, shocked by all he's seen, stumbled backwards and dropped to the floor, overwhelmed.
Haru: W-What was that?...
???: Those were visions! The big three: The past, present, and future! It's nothing to worry about.
Haru: Visions?... Who are you? More importantly, where are you?!
???: I'm above you. Get off the bottom floor and get up here.
Haru went through the door and found a staircase that led to a higher floor. He took the stairs and entered the room.
Haru: I thought you said you were above me. Stop with the silly games.
???: You're the one who's being silly, kid.
Haru took a second glance at the room and spotted a white cat holding a stick that stood longer than he did.
Haru gave him a confused look, getting the cat to speak.
???: Cat got your tongue?
He asked cackling at his own statement.
Haru: I sincerely apologize. It's just, I wasn't expecting a talking cat. Where is the guardian?
Cat: You're looking at him. The name's Korin, so, what brings you here?
Haru: Korin? So that's where the tower got its name! I've come to drink the sacred water!
