Chapter 4. An Old Hermit's Gift.

Haru removed his shirt and shoes as he and Goku went in the water unable to contain their excitement. Bulma followed in after them taking her shoes off and holding her Pj's slightly up not wanting it to get it wet.

Bulma: Hey, whatcha doing kid?! I wouldn't do that if I were you!

Bulma warned Goku who took some of the water in his hand and tasted it, spitting it out almost immediately.

Goku: Ew! Yucky!! This water is salty.

Haru: "chuckles" What did you expect, Goku?

Haru splashed the water on Goku making him giggle and frighten Bulma. Since she didn't want to wet her clothes.

Bulma: Would you two knock it off!!

Bulma's voice wasn't heard, they continued to splash water at each other so she just left them and got back on the beach.

Several minutes later and the Turtle was still no where to be found. And all three were now just sitting at the beach.

Bulma: Aah, I get so relaxed when I'm on the beach.

She sat there drawing on the dry sand using a stick, while Haru just layed there gazing at the clouds.

Goku: Yeah, you're not talking nearly as much!

Goku wasn't bothered to look at what she was doing as he was busy with his own work. Building a sand castle.

Bulma: Huh? Hey! What's that. Whatever it is, it's moving toward us.

Bulma pointed out staring straight ahead in the ocean. She sees a shadow of a figure making it way towards them.

Goku: It's the Turtle! And he's got someone on his back!

Haru sat up straight after hearing what Goku had just said looking a little surprised.

Haru: You're right! He actually cameback?! Nice eye Goku.

Bulma: Wow, it's like you've got super vision or something. Pretty cool Goku!

Haru: I wonder what he brought back.

Goku: Hey Turtle! Over here.

Old man: Doesn't he realize that they're the only ones on the beach?

Tortoise: Ahoy there! Hahaha, sorry I kept you waiting. I hate to go get my master!

Bulma: Man! Check that guy out.

The turtle got close and he carried an old, bold man on his back, who was carrying a turtle's shell on his back. They came to the beach on dry land and the old man got off his back.

Old man: Well, hello there kids!

Bulma: HI, how is it going. Welcome a-shore.

Haru: Cool outfit! Old man.

Old man: Kids. I want to thank you for helping my Turtle.

Goku: It was our pleasure mister.

Old man: I'm Roshi, the Turtle hermit!

Bulma: "confused" Uhhh a turtle hermit?

Roshi: Which one of these kids helped you?

Tortoise: It's that little boy, there.

Roshi walked over to them and he stood infront Goku.

Roshi: You're a very brave boy! I have a gift that I want to give you as a token of my gratitude.

Bulma: Hear that Goku!

Haru: That's generous of him, but do we need a gif--

Bulma kept him silent as she wrapped her hands around his mouth preventing him from talking. Roshi turned back and stood at the edge of the shore.
