Chapter 53: Ruthless

"I try my best." Lalisa replied humbly suddenly feeling shy about her good results.

"How about you help her out then?" At this, Chanyeol had turned to her and reduced the gap between them. From an outsider view, the both of them were discussing while the rest were just there.

"Tutor her?" Lalisa repeated as if she had heard something shocking.

Tutoring was not the problem, the problem was Chaeyoung was really ready to not learn. Which meant that anyone that was going to help her had to be ready to devote a lot of time to it.

Chaeyoung opened her mouth in that moment, ready to talk when Su Fan interrupted.

"Let's talk about such an important matter after the party. Would you be here to the ending, Miss Rong?" He asked, while glancing at his brothers.

The both of them nodded and then looked back at Lalisa.

"I planned to accompany her for a little while before returning home. I happen to have some works that need me to finish and my mother is also alone at home."

"However, if this is about being her tutor, I think it's a decision that Chaeyoung should make herself, and then, she can let me know what the final decision is."

Chanyeol's brows furrowed slightly, showing he wasn't completely satisfied with her words while the other two brothers nodded in satisfaction.

"First Young master Sun, I also think that a professional might be able to take on the task better than I can." She finally added before keeping quiet.

"Miss Kim is really thoughtful and impressive, you are right, this is something we should look at in a more extensive approach instead of being spontaneous. However, we appreciate your honesty with her grades, after all, even her teachers tend to sugar coat things." Sun Kai said, his expression and words showed how much of a diplomat he was.

Like that, the matter was closed while the five of them started to discuss random matters.

"Miss Kim, you mentioned something about work, do you also work asides from studying?" Baekhyun asked curiously.

Lalisa looked at him for a second longer than normal and then nodded.

"Yes, I do." Her answer was simple and tactical. Polite but also restraining which impressed Sun Kai even more.

"Lalisa." A familiar but nauseating voice called out from behind them making all of them turn back subconsciously.

"I guessed that you were the one. But I didn't dare to be sure. After all, It's surprising that the daughter of our maid would be here at this banquet that was organized for the youngest general in our city." Fang Mian said, her voice intentionally raised so that everyone could hear. While her sister acted like she was trying to drag her without really putting in any force at all.

"Sister, it can't be her." Fang Yong said softly, her voice was delicate and soft making some men there feel comfortable just by listening to her.

However, Chanyeol's brows crinkled softly at her voice but he said nothing, his face remaining impassive and unconcerned.

"I am the one. What's the problem?" Lalisa said, her voice firm but it couldn't mask the feminine allure that her voice had.

Hearing her speak, Fang Yong was stunned, after all, Xia and Lalisa had both moved when Lalisa was barely thirteen.

Puberty had yet to hit her then.

Even now, her appearance was way more shocking upclose.

From afar, it was easy to tell that she was beautiful, her aura and features compelling anyone that looked at her. But the moment you stood upclose.

Her face was breathtaking. With that voice.... Fang Mian clenched her fists tightly inside her sleeves as her mind raced with several thoughts.

"Didn't I say it, I'm certain it this wrench, I have seen her miserable face well enough to know that she's the one." Fang Mian challenged further while the girl in front of them remained unfazed.

"Does working with your family and eating the food provided by your family make me a wrench?" Lalisa asked calmly.

"Of course! You are eating our things." Fang Mian replied self righteously.

"And does that mean you are also a wrench?" Lalisa asked calmly, her expression had no change in it, almost as if she was trying to explain something to a small child.

"Pfttt!" Baekhyun could not resist and crackled out in laughter embarrassing the two girls as what Lalisa just said dawned on them.

"Y..You!" Fang Mian became infuriated and speechless. She had not expected that the girl would have grown wings and even start to talk back at her that fluently.

Her exclamation made a lot of people that had already been curious about what was happening move towards them, unwilling to miss the drama.

"Lalisa, what my sister meant wasn't to call you a wrench, we are just surprised that you that used to be our maid at a point can be in a place like this." With her delicate voice, it sounded like she was genuinely sorry about what her sister had said, yet, her words were completely terrible and even informing all the people that had just joined about what was happening

"So you mean that for someone that was willing to go through so many things, even doing chores and basic cooking that people like you would usually avoid would not want a person like me to be at his welcoming party?"

She also understood how to play dirty with someone like this and so she made her voice softer, not coming hard on like she had on the sister, after all, each one of them had different tricks.

Seeing the wronged look on Lalisa's face, together with that stunning expression, Fang Yong paled slightly, her fists clenching tighter.

Almost all the men there suddenly felt like the Fang sisters were being unreasonable.

Before Fang Yong could find a reply, Baekhyun who had been held back by her brother stepped forward.

"You dare to insult my best friend and tutor?." Chaeyoung asked, unleashing her ferocious aura.

"I invited someone to my family and you dare to question why I invited her? What is your Fang family?" She scolded even further, making the two girls shiver.

For Fang Yong, she had developed an interest in Chanyeol from the first moment that she met him, she had tried all to see him but he was never home.

Upon hearing that he had such a thing going on today, she had begged her father to get the invitation with all that she could thinking that as long as she could get to meet him.

Now that she had seen that Lalisa was with them, she had deliberately come so she could expose her identity.

Yet, who would have imagined that their sister, who was already nicknamed "the fierce tiger" would suddenly stand up for the girl.

"B..brother Chanyeol...." She called softly as she looked at the man, hoping to stir some sympathy in him.

"Rosè is right, for guests that we have invited, you don't have the right to ask if they are supposed to be here. Please try not to make people uncomfortable in a situation like this." Chanyeol said and then glanced at Lalisa to be sure she was okay.

Seeing that no one was supporting her, Fang Yong immediately gave in.

"Sorry Miss Rong, my sister misspoke.... Sis, you should apologize to her." Fang Yong said, ruthlessly pushing all the blame on her sister.

Seeing the situation, Fang Mian rolled her eyes.

"Slut." She cursed before stomping off making everyone's face change.

Fang Yong ran after her sister, making the air become better immediately.
