Being on a blind date was not new for me, I've had my fair share of blind dates.
But never once I've had to face the awkward silence I was in right now.We were in car, going somewhere I don't know about. It has been 10 minutes since he picked me up and he was just driving silently.
It was hard to find any expressions in his stone cold face.We haven't talked, a thick layer of silence surrounded us. I was too scared to say anything as he was known for his temper and he was not taking any initiative to talk.
He don't look so happy, he looks anything but happy.
Sighing under my breath I turned to window enjoying the gentel breeze hitting my face, a small smile making it's way to my face.
"Where?"
I flinched at his sudden deep voice.
I was really not expecting him to say something or anything."Yes?"
I asked turning towards him.
He was still facing ahead. His side profile was worth drolling for.He gave a quick glance before returning his eyes to the road ahead.
"Where to?"
What does he mean where to. Did he asked something else when I was busy flirting with the wind.
I stared at him clueless, as I didn't knew what he was asking, his jaw tightened, his mouth set in a hard line.
A muscle in his jaw twitched, before he spoke again."Do not stare at me."
His voice came rougher and deeper than before.
I was quick to turn my face to window again afraid I will might anger him."Where do you want to go?"
Oh, seems like he haven't decided where to go.
Not so gentelman, but then again he didn't even opened the car's sedan for me.
Let alone holding it, he didn't even came out to greet me.Neither I greeted him.
"Anywhere is fine to me."
I didn't faced him this time, I knew it was rude but he was also not so gentle. And he did said not to stare at him.Again the car was filled with silence, neither of us spoke anything.
He took a u turn and drive for another 20 minutes, making me wonder where we were headed to.The car came to a halt outside a restaurant which I've never step a foot before.
We were outside 'The Aviary' '.It was a fancy restaurant, there was no way anyone can dine without reservation. But The Ahuja's were different, I would not be surprised if I got to know that they owns the hotel.
Women with fancy clothing and men with expensive suits was all I see.
With my simple sundress and minimal makeup I looked so out of place. He started making his way toward the restaurantI don't want to here.
His steps halted, he turned towards me.
Rising his left brow, he inquired."What?"
Shit, did he heard me.
"I will ask you again, where do you wanna go."
Sighing, he asked again coming a little closer.I didn't really wanted to have any fancy food, I would rather eat Chinese at any stall and would be more happy.
But what if he think that I'm not of his standards and say no to the marriage.
And I don't think there is any way he will eat fast food.
But I can try once right, I mean I can't force myself to eat the things I don't want to, right?
I can't fake my personality just to impress him."What about any fast foods, I really don't want to use fork and knife."
My voice was again merely above whisper.
It was like my vocal chords weren't at their place when I was with him.I looked at him through my lashes, he was thinking something.
What if he's thinking that I'm weird, what if he say no. Dadu will be so disappointed in me."If you don't want to than it's okay."
I can compromise, it's just another date where I have to dine fancy pasta or salads. It will not hurt."Let's go."
I knew it, how can i expect a billionaire to eat at stalls. It's like a impossible thing to happen.
I sighed under my breath softly and moved towards the entrance."Where are you going?"
I turned to see him standing near his car with a slight smirk.
"Didn't you said, let's go."
"I mean the food stalls, didn't you said you don't wanna have fancy food. So let's go,we will have fast food."
"Really?!"
I said literally running towards the car, I never once thought he would agree to it.I moved to open the door but he was fast enough to open it and hold it for me.
I guess he is in good mood now.I tucked myself to seat barely containg my smile. He came inside, wore the seatbelt, handing me his phone, he asked to put the location.
A few minutes and we were standing at a dahi bada dabha.Shocked would be a understatement to describe what I was feeling.
Daksh Ahuja was standing here, beside me eating dahi bada, it will be quite a news.
He looked like a rich man in his neat, crisp blue bottom down and black fitted trousers. His Rolex was standing out way too much."I never thought that you would like to eat fast food, I mean it's a little hard to believe, I thought you were higenic type."
I mean he got body of a model, I thought he was more into salad with extra ranch."Dhriti loves fast food. And sometimes doesn't hurt."
"Oh... Then can we eat chaat also and momos after that?"
I asked pointing at the stall. He looked at me, face emotionless. He wasn't judging me he was thinking something deeply.
Now I was getting used of his emotionaless expressions.
He nodded slowly staring at me with confused look in his eyes.
I just needed the permission I hopped towards the stalls happily with a smile reaching my eyes.I've had many dates but not one of these kind where I can choose what to eat. They were always decided by my dates where to go or what to eat.
When we finished I was so full that I didn't wanted to move. So we decided on a walk.
We were just walking ahead not having any destination in mind, we were just enjoying each other company."I will be back in a minute."
He moved to the opposite side of street heading towards one of the store.I took out my phone from my bag. I didn't even knew what time was it, being with him was fun, easy. I didn't had to fake my personality, I didn't forced myself in anything.
Being with him was peaceful.
It was quarter to nine.
Three hours passed in a blink.
Sighing I put my phone into my purse giving myself reminder to return home once he's done with whatever he was doing. There was a gentle tap on my shoulder, I turned and my nostrils was filled with smell of tulips and gerbera.
There he was standing with a bouquet of flowers looking awkward yet handsome. What is it with big muscular men holding flowers looks so sexy.
"Thank you."
I said softly as I took the bouquet gently in fear of ruining it.
It was beautiful, I took a mental note to click a picture of it once home."Shall we return?"
He asked clearing his throat.
I just nodded as I was still busy admiring the flowers. He took my hand in his big once guiding me towards the car. The butterflies in my stomach fluttering. Again holding the seden for me.
We were heading towards my home but I really didn't want it to end, I wanted to be with him, a little more.
I wanted to stop the time, just to be with him.~♥~♥~♥~♥~♥~♥~♥~
