When I reopened my eyes, my body shivered with pain and hurt I saw.
The glass shelf was now in the floor shattered into thousands, millions of pieces.
The prizes were hurled to ground.

A man came and shut the door silently making it difficult for the others to get a view of inside.
He slowly nodded towards me greeting me in a graceful manner.

After nodding in return I turn my face to look at Daksh, whose hands were blooded by the glass that pierced through his hands.
A low trail of blood was dipping down to floor making it horrifying to look at his hands.

I moved towards him with my shaky figure just to be stopped by the man who shut the door down.
He tucked my anarkali and nodded his face in a no direction.
I was going to reply him but Mr. Ahuja was fast enough than me to start any conversation.

"Do not cause a scene here, we will carry this conversation at ho- "

"That's not my home, and we are not continuing any kind of conversation with you."
Daksh's voice was laced with venom, but what made me surprise was the fact that Mr. Ahuja still did not mentioned his hand.

Daksh move towards me and took my hand by his left hand as the right one was still dripping blood.
Soon the man behind me picked up both of my bags and started moving towards the gate.

"You still have time, don't be a fool."
His feet halted. His grip on hands tighten and I knew that it will leave a bruise. His back muscles tighten as he tried his best to control his anger.

Mr. Ahuja stood still, like he was giving the best advice to a person. His eyes still didn't showed any emotion

"I'm not being a fool Mr. Ahuja. It's just that I'm not like you. I do not want to be like you. I will never marry someone just because of her reputation ... otherwise that relationship will end up being like yours and Mrs. Ahuja.
....Do I need to remind you how's your relationship with your wife? "

"Remember that I'm your father!!! "
This was the first time I saw him losing his control. His face was getting red due to the pent up anger.

A cold chuckle ringed in the air. Daksh's left my wrist and he moved towards Mr. Ahuja with small steps still chuckling slowly.

"You are not my father, you will never be my father.
And, if I heard that you talked to my wife about divorce, leave divorce, even if you were near my wife...Blood relation or not, you will be 6 feet under.

And if not me, than Athrav will definitely not hesitate to do it."

Daksh moved towards me leaving the angry Mr. Ahuja behind. His knuckles were turning white due to the force he was gripping the table with.

He again took my wrist and we moved towards the exit, the whole ride of elevator was filled with silence. The blood was stopped dripping but his hand was still bloody.

The elevator dinged when we reached the ground floor.
The man who was carrying my purse took a seat on the passenger seat and we sat on the back. The driver started driving in the seer silence, none of them making any sound.

I grabbed his right hand to inspect the damage. Asking for my handbag I took out of clean handkerchief and slowly started cleaning his wounds.
He tried to pull his hand out of my grip but on glare was enough for him sulk and stay seated still.

There was only a single long slit on his hand, I think that happened due to the corner of the shelf.

The car came to a halt and I hurried pulling him into the apartment.

"Will you please call a doctor for me."
I asked the man whom I think is his assistant. He glanced towards Daksh, silently asking for his opinion.

When we reached our floor I sprinted towards the kitchen to grap the first aid.
When I returned he was siting still in his place and his PA had left the carrybag and my handbag on sofa.

I quickly opened the kit and took out the a gauze pad and saline solution. I soaked the pad in solution and slowly started rubbing it against his skin.
When it reached near his cut a small hiss left his mouth making me stop my movements.

I looked up to him only to face his eyes on me. He held emotion in his obsidian eyes. So many emotion that it was difficult to point out any of it.
I moved my hand and gently caressed his jaw. Closing his eyes he leaned to my touch.

The bell ringed letting me know that the doctor I had asked for was here.
The doctor was their family doctor.
Mr. Sharman was devoted to this family for years, so it was obvious that the whole family must've known about this.

Mr. Sharman stich the wound as it was way too deep for a single bandage to handle.
He recommended some medication and suggest him to not work with his right hand.

It was the moment when Mr. Sharman was packing his things. The door bell started ringing in a continue rhythm until I open the door.

There they were, the whole family was standing with worried looks on their faces. Even Athrav has uncovered his stone cold expression.
Dadi had dry tear stains on her checks followed by maa's tearful eyes.

I welcomed them into the the and Dhriti literally ran towards Daksh.
As soon as Athrav saw his hands, he turned and started moving towards the door from which they entered.

"Kaha ja rha tu?"
Maa voice was filled with worries and concern. Soon Aarav also started following Athrav.

"Koi kahi nhi jaa rha."
This time is was Dada ji. His dominant voice stopped both of them at their tracks. Athrav turned to face us, that was the time the rage in his eyes. He was ready to kill or to be killed.

"He tried to hurt my family...AGAIN. This time I will not leave that man, he can't just come out of nowhere middle in OUR affairs. "

His voice was way too calm, it was obvious that he was trying his best to keep himself calm but was failing miserably.

"Sit down Athrav, it was me only. I pushed the glass shelf and this happened. "
Daksh tried to reason him but it was clear that Athrav was not getting any of it.

"So you want to him to torture you like he did, then you will take action against him- "

Aarav voice was cut by the loud yelling of Dhriti.

"Stop!!!
Stop saying this al- "

"I will not!!! You will forgot, bhaiya will forgot but I will NEVER.
I will not forgot it neither I will forgive him. Even if he will beg me to... I will not, I just- just can't. "

His last words were barely above whisper. It was audible only due to silence in the room.
His eyes were filled with tears, the man was trying his best not to loose himself. Athrav came to support him. My heart broke looking at him at this state.

Whatever that man did to these siblings it surely left deep scars.
After a few minutes of silence Daksh suddenly stood up and picked himself on the stairs.

"I will take care of this, stay here for today all of you and - he turned to face Dada ji - for whatever reason you've called them here. Make sure to complete it as soon as possible. If one more time he or she tried to approach any of us... apnea parivar ki kasam khata hu, maa ya baap, wahi maar kar gaard du ga."

With this Daksh disappeared into the room. A few gasped left from the ladies presented in the room including me. I was shocked will be understatement. A few minutes after all this drama, when we all regained our consciousness I showed them their perspective room and moved towards my own room.

When I entered the bedroom it was dark. He didn't even have turned on a night bulb.
When I eyes adjusted the lack of lighting in the room, I moved towards his resting figure.

He had secured his head on the headboard and his torso was lying on the bed.
When I approached him, he pulled me on top of him and said silently, almost whispered.

"Let me tell you a story precious. "
