My eyes opened due to the pain I was feeling between my legs and back.
Slowly resting my back against the headboard my eyes searched for the cause of the goofy feeling I was getting.I heard clicking of door as he came in with a cup of coffee.
"Good morning."
"Morning."
He put the tray down in the bedside table and handed me the warm cup of coffee.
He then moved himself inside the duvet and pulled myself on his lap. I snuggled into his chest and gave him a small peck."Do you need me to get the tub filled with hot water."
"It would be great."
I said smiling looking up at him. He was already looking at me with so much adoration."I-"
Suddenly his phone started ringing, but he made no move to get it. I look towards the clock and it was past nine. This means he should be in office at this time but here he was sticking to me like a koala.
The ringing paused but continued after a few seconds later. When he made no attempt to receive, I grabbed the phone and pushed it towards him motioning him to talk.
His face looked disgusted by the name on the screen.
"Skip it- "
"It must be important. "
He made a weird face and finally received the call with the most boring face he can make.As expected the call was for something important. After a few minutes of receiving the call his face harden and hid grip on me tighten.
"Solve it before you're fired."
I looked up at him from his chest with confusion marrying my face.
His hard voice told me that something definitely is up."What happened?"
My hands went to his buckle arms, giving them a little squeeze I asked with concern."The meeting with the Itlay deal is at the corner but our translator is in hospital, he was in a accident.
They can't even do a project properly. "He moved towards the bathroom and my mind started to worry about his deal.
He was strict and serious when it comes to work. He loved his work, it was no lie. I've had seen him working late at night, sometimes with cups of coffees or something with bagy eyes.He took his work seriously. Even after our marriage he never once took leave for holidays or just for fun to relax.
Being a CEO came with responsibilities and he took it well.
Even sometimes when we were alone relaxing, he told me about his projects and upcoming events.I wanted to help, he needed a translator and I was one but I officially didn't get a degree in Italian. I've learned it as an optional subject and haven't graduated in it.
My friends were also no help, because they've moved to different countries for the job opportunity and he said that the meeting was at the corner means they didn't have enough time to book translator from abroad. The door opened he came wearing a bathrobe. Seeing my worried face he raised his brows.
"I can translate Italian- only if you want... but I don't have a official degree of Italian language. Also it's OK if you don't want to cause my accent is not that good..."
My mind played the memory of me being in the interview where they asked a few questions and I squealed out the answer because of nervousness.
That was the reason I didn't had a job, I often got nervous in the interviews. It wasn't like I was introverted or anti social. It was just that the interviews scared me. The first one didn't go well, so the other one.
But when the small translator job was offered to me I made it quick not to loose the opportunity.
