Funky's Unwanted Promise

S1, E4: Comfort

There was an empty bench so Expo took a quick snack sitting on the bench, when the clouds became clear the sun shineed on a poster that shines back at Expo. Expo got a closer look at the poster, it was covered with golden glitter that wrote: 'Golden Hill Hotel, here's the location'.

She went to the location written and sure enough it was a golden hotel on top of the hill, she went up the hill and meet a child. The child: "Are you here for the Golden Hill Hotel?, Expo: "Yea, I'm here to get a job.". The child stood up: "I'm going to get my dad" he left his toys to get his dad, the child: "Dad, there is someone who wants to meet you!".

The dad turned to his son: "That's brilliant Remy!, can you bring them to me please?", Remy: "Yes, Dad!". Remy went outside again: "Come inside, my dad wants to meet you too!", Expo: "Is he the owner?". Remy: "Yea. . ., Dad I brought them for you!", the dad: "Thank you Remy, nice to meet you I'm Sanya Brogan" he offers his hand.

Expo: "Exponent Goat nicknamed Expo, I like to have a job here please" she accepted his handshake, Sanya: "That's wonderful Expo, this is my son Remigio nicknamed Remy so please come to my office.".

Sanya: "May I read your resume, Expo?", Expo: "I'm only 17, and I don't have a resume..." she looked down. Sanya: "Well I'm sorry for what you have been through to get here, what position are you interested to get a job at a hotel?", Expo: "In my previous work at a motel, my manager told me I was creative and made me his assistant. I don't want to change but things took a turn, now that I'm here.".

Sanya: "I'm not going to ask about your life since you could be uncomfortable telling me, but you are hired and can be our manager!", Expo: "I thought you were the manager, why do you want to quit?".

Sanya: "Well I'm not that creative, this was my mother's hotel. I inherited her hotel and now I'm the manager but don't worry, I'm changing my position to a receptionist!", Expo: "I accept your offer for me to be the new manager, can I stay here please?".

Sanya: "Of course Expo, we did the same thing. You can choose to pick any room you want, oh and here's a badge.", Expo took the badge and wrote her introduction. When Expo arrived at her room, it was better than the old one.

Barnett went out to find Expo to see how she is doing, Expo looked out the window to see the town and spotted Barnett outside a supermarket. Expo hurriedly went out of her room and outside the hotel, she caught up with Barnett.

Expo: "*Breathing Heavily* Barnett..., what are you doing here?", Barnett: "Expo, you're okay!". Expo: "Yea, I got another job at a great hotel", Barnett: "That's great, I'm so proud of you!"

Expo puts their hand on her mouth, she felt like her heart sank. Expo: "I never heard my dad say that to me before... but thank you Barnett, I appreciate your compliment.".

Barnett: "Seems like you have daddy issues, well I'm thrilled that you are okay. Funky probably doesn't want to see me with you, I need to go back...". Expo: "We can hang out in my hotel, Funky can't see us there."

Barnett: "It's okay I think it's getting late, I'll see you later Expo!", Expo: "Oh yeah right, later Barnett". They went in different ways, hoping for the best in the future. Expo is laying on her bed, she have ordered a salad and Remy is bringing the salad to her.

Remy: "Expo, it's me Remy. I have your salad, can I come in?", Expo: "Hey Remy, yes you can come in!". Remy entered her room holding a salad and handing it to her, Expo: "Looks delicious Remy, thank you and your dad!"

Remy: "It's no biggie Expo, do you need anything else?", Expo: "No I'm fine, thanks!". Remy leaves her room and went straight to his dad who is in the kitchen, Sanya: "Did they like the salad, Remy?". Remy: "Yup, that's all they need they told me!", Sanya: "That's great Remy, you are a good kid.".

Barnett was in the same room as Funky cleaning his office, he still worries about Expo looking out the window. Funky: "Barnett, stop looking out the window and continue cleaning!", Barnett: "Oh right, sorry Funky!".

Angela enters his office: "Where is Expo, I need her- I mean them for the bathroom?", Funky: "I fired her, you can Barnett with you to solve your problem". Angela: "Why did you do that, whatever. Come on Barnett, follow me!", Angela went out of the office as Barnett follows her.

He saw Funky licking his lips when Angela left the room, he looked at him with a disgusted look but left anyways. Barnett: "Can I really fix him, he doesn't seem worth the time? Hey Angela, are you single?", Angela: "No I have a boyfriend, why?".

Barnett: "Funky seems to like you and I feel like you have to know, so what's the problem with the toilet?", Angela: "We need to have some pads and tampons for the bathroom and for your information, I use to guys staring at me.".

Barnett: "That's wrong Angela, don't you feel discomfort by that!?", Angela: "I'm a woman, things like that happens!". Barnett: "But don't you want it to stop, it's like how men's products are cheaper than women's it's sexist!", Angela: "Yea I want it to stop but I have no power, I alone can't stop it!"

Barnett: "You may have no power but you have rights, if any men discomfort you have to stand up for yourself!", Angela: "Thank you for doing the bare minimum, can you get the pads and tampons please?". Barnett: "Yes, of course!", Angela: "Buy a lot!".
