Funky's Unwanted Promise

S1, E5: New Workers

Maple finished her job working as a cashier in a supermarket, she went home to her apartment that she shared with a roommate. The apartment was completely damp and they needed to move out soon before anything happens, her roommate Pixtor has something to show her.

Pixtor: "Hey Maple, I found this poster that wrote 'Work at this motel, get your room there!" so I was thinking we can move there!", Maple: "We can move there and you can get a job too, we start packing and move immediately!"

Pixtor: "This is great, we can finally be free!", it took them a while to pack and clean the apartment. Pixtor took flight with Maple to the motel as she is a bee, Maple: "I feel like I want to quit the job as a cashier and move into something else, something relaxing!"

They arrived at the motel and met with Jimmie, Jimmie: "Hello there, are you here to book a room?". Maple: "Yes, we also want to get a job here please!", Jimmie: "Great, let me see your resume then I'll give you a position!"

Maple handed her resume to Jimmie and so did Pixtor, Jimmie: "Maple Beard a 21-year-old bear and Pixtor Beez a 20-year-old bee, wait here for me to talk to the manager!".

Funky: "More women how great, Maple can get the gardener while Pixtor get the room servicer", Jimmie: "I don't control the worker Funky, I'm sure a man will work here soon!"

Jimmie sat back down at the register and handed the roommates their badges, Jimmie: "Pixtor you got to be the room service while Maple gets to be the gardener, Barnett the squirrel will help you around the motel".

Barnett: "Hello ladies, I will show you around the motel!", he showed them the supplies for room services and the outside garden. Pixtor: "Thank you Barnett, we will start working today!", Barnett: "We have other workers here to help you, I need to go. I'm meeting with a friend, oh and here are your room keys cause Jimmie gave to me forgetting to give it to you."

Pixtor: "Bye Barnett, stay safe out there! I heard there are no customers to serve, so I was wondering if I can stay here and help you garden?". Maple: "Yea totally, this garden looks like it needs loads of help.".

Barnett walked past Funky's office and he stops him, Funky: "Barnett, where are you going?". Barnett stopped dead on his track, why was the door opened? Barnett turned to look at Funky, Barnett: "Uh to... clean?". Funky: "Really, I see you go out a lot?", Barnett: "You know... just cleaning outside.".

Funky lifted his eyebrow and cross his arm: "Right..., well okay then.", Barnett continues to walk straight to the entrance door. Jimmie: "Hey Barnett, where are you going?", Barnett: "To see Expo, please don't tell Funky about me seeing Expo!"

Funky got out of his office and stood near the register: "Jimmie, do you know where he is going?", Jimmie: "Nah, that man tells me nothing!"

He went to the security room: "Melanie can you check the CCTV outside, I want to see if Barnett is telling the truth.", Melanie checked the camera and sees Barnett went outside and was not cleaning. Funky: "So he did lie, what is he even doing!? Melanie I want you to follow him and tell me what he is doing, I'll stay and watch guard.".

Melanie went to follow him and saw him with Expo, she return to the motel. Melanie: "I saw him with Expo, it looks like they are just chilling", Funky: "Oh so he is like backstabbing me, when I see him I will be pissed!"

Jimmie heard the conversation because Funky was yelling, he sees Funky storms off and knew he has to warn Barnett. When Barnett came back, Jimmie rushed to him putting his hand on Barnett's arm.

Jimmie: "Dude Funky saw you with Expo, he looks unpleasant!", Barnett: "Ah jeez, uh... don't worry about me I'll handle this!". Barnett let go of Jimmie's hand and put them on his chest, he stood there as Barnett went to Funky's office.

Funky: "Oh Barnett, I was waiting for you.", Barnett: "*My goodness his voice is so... it's making me weak, no he is mad at me!* Yes, Jimmie told me to come here...". Funky: "I know that you lie to me and I'm 'mad' at you, it's rather you get fired or you stop seeing her!", Barnett: "The second option,... look I'm sorry I didn't know it was betrayal!"

Funky: "Hey man I respect people older than me, I'm not going to be harsh on you- oh and go get me Melanie!", Barnett: "Oh thanks Funky, I'll leave now...." he left his office and Jimmie was outside the room.

Jimmie: "What happened, are you fine?", Barnett: "Nothing much, it looks like he has a soft spot for older people.". Jimmie: "What does that mean?", Barnett: "It means if I were you, I would have been fired. I going to your mother, Funky wants to see her."

Melanie: "You want to see me, Funky?", Funky: "Yes I do, I don't think you need to be on guard 24/7. I need you to find Expo and see what she is going, don't do anything to her just her status.".

Melanie: "Don't you mean them-", Funky: "Melanie, I don't have all day!". She left the office and set out to find Expo, she saw them outside of a hotel with someone else. It was Sanya and they are discussing the hotel from the outside, Melanie went back to Funky.

Melanie: "Expo got another job at a hotel, they are rather the assistant or the manager.", Funky: "That is pretty useful, Melanie I want you to secretly sabotage her plans!". Melanie: "Isn't that harsh Funky, plus I'm too old to be sneaky", Funky: "You can bring along Azra with you, I don't drink alcohol every day!".
