Funky's Unwanted Promise

S2, Ep9: Compromise

Expo: "Teenagers, how old are you!?" she points at them, Harper: "We're 15, ma'am..." Expo: "oh well, that's not much from me." she clears her throat and gestures them three to sit, Harper: "What do you mean by that, madam?".

Expo: "don't use that term, I'm not use to it and I'm 17 by the way.", Harper: "You're also a teen who work a main job, how did you do that!?". Expo: "aha long story short I was kicked out my parents house, so why do you wanna stay here?".

Bieber: "Well miss, we also need to get money and not go to school anymore!", Faun: "That's right, is that a valid opinion?". Expo: "a pity one for sure, are you seriously going to throw your education out the window?", Harper: "Don't judge us, you had a similar experience-".

Expo: "I didn't have a choice and this area is far from my school, even if I do have a transportation I am not doing a two life of student and manager!" she sighed a calms down, Faun: "Sorry about him, are we accepted in your building?".

Expo: "Does your parents know yet, did you drop out of school?", Bieber: "No, we had to take the offer before confirming..." Expo: "of course you do, got any previous position?", Faun: "we never had anything at first, this will be our chance."

Expo: "well what do you know about hotels, can any preferences on what you take for that offer?", Harper: "anything is alright really, is there any remaining slots left?".

Expo: "yes, now give me a second. You beaver, taking the job as a life guard. Deer one, it's odd to have a library in a hotel but at least it's better than a bar so you're being a librarian. Lastly bunny, since you're wearing a flower crown so I assume you wanna be around it which makes you a garden that also has food stocks.", Harper: "seems fitting, we will take those options!"

Expo: "I expect you three to go tell your parents permission before I hire you, no need for resume I supposed so I will give your the room keys and badges afterwards.", Faun: "right, thank you."

Bieber: "Expo, are you expecting today or tomorrow?", Expo: "the day day seem reasonable, gotta mentally then physically be on the go for this massive change in your life."

**Minutes passes, on a balcony.**

Expo is standing while leaning on the railing, she's taking things off her mind as she's breathing the cold wind. Peony: "you're going to fall off the edge if you don't be careful, honey." he chimes in, Expo chuckles: "I can treat myself properly, man."

Peony: "what's wrong, did the interview not go well with them teens around your age?", Expo: "no it was good, just about another subject specifically a dude..."

Peony: "it's not Funky, is it? You can't have him in your brain, aren't you gonna call the authorities on him-", Expo: "oh what are they gonna do, they'll just go with his side when they assume I'm doing it for attention!"

Peony: "Expo, you can't think all males are bad...", Expo: "I know but all of them are men, I just don't get why he hates me or any others this much!" she press her forehead on the thin metal surface."

Peony: "I didn't understand how many this effects you, now I'm seeing you like this- I can't help you in any way...", Expo: "Barnett has to have done something at this point, it's been days since the incident tho I have a nagging that Funky still is out for me."

Lady: "Expo, who's this man you're speaking of and why is he harassing you?" she jumps by, Expo: "my old motel manager, he's not assaulting me- just... going off standards for being black and a female."

Fred: "that's crappy of him, so you ran away then what are you stressed about?", Expo: "feels as he's hunting me still, an absurd PTSD I can not escape from..."

Lady: "why didn't you tell us, we can help you out if he ever bother to show up here?", Expo: "I won't share all my issues with my workers, this job is meant for tough environment so I just have to suck it up."

Fred: "this is not healthy for you, a rough path if you don't do something for it then you can have a better space!", Expo: "I appreciate the help yet a lot has and nothing much changed, it will eat me alive until it will eventually go away..."

**At the motel, with Funky**

Funky: "Barnett, come here this instinct!", Barnett: "Yes, boss?". Funky: "I heard a bunch of talking earlier which sounded like all teenages having a conversation with Jimmie and Azra, who are they?", Barnett: "you don't expect me to know everything, do you?".

Funky: "your life is on the line, answer the question.", Barnett: "I don't know who they are, I only heard their chats with them..." Funky: "oh well that's enough, what did they speak of?", Funky: "darn it... it appears one of them is Azra's sibling, she told them about Expo's hotel."

Funky: "sponsoring her hotel under my motel, this is unacceptable?!" he stood up from his chair to march his away at Azra, Barnett: "Funky, clam down-". Funky: "What is wrong with you, lady?!", Azra turns around to see Funky and Barnett then knew what's going on or happen to her: "I got rid of those teens, that's the only way..."

Funky: "removing them from my territory is correct, what isn't you telling them about Expo's hotel!", Azra: "it's been done and said, there's nothing you can do about it."

Funky: "don't underestimate me, I'll do whatever it takes so she doesn't have the higher grounds anymore." he growls, he shifts towards where Barnett is standing at next to him. "Where is AustinJr, we have a new mission to deal with her?"

Barnett: "I can't get every person's current state, you have to find out yourself!", Funky: "you're useless to me, a janitor is supposedly witness anything around him!" he went to search AustinJr himself.

Azra: "where is he off to now, why AustinJr tho?", Barnett: Ah jeez, probably up to no good and I have to be the one getting him back!"

Azra: "you always say you're going to stop him or help us out, yet you haven't accomplished any of it?", Barnett: "I actually have nothing on me, he's super powerful which makes me fear of him..."
