The Everlasting People

endings are funny.

each ending is a beginning, of some sort. and each beginning marks the ending of something else. endings stir up Afterthought and Retrospect, and pick apart each individual moment that has shaped one into the person they are today. endings cause heartbreak, but with the cracks comes the ever-growing sense of responsibility one has to fill those holes with the new and the whole and the beautiful. what blossoms will be eternal and magnificent, when given care and time. 

to influence someone is magic. to be able to shift one's point of view and way of functioning is a terrifying and devastating capability, but it is also one of the most marvelous and fantastic powers available to all of us here on earth. there are always millions of words of gratitude for those who impact lives, change us for the better. these are the Everlasting People.

thank you to the inspirational ones. thank you to the motivators. thank you to those who refuse to open the door when Opportunity knocks, instead choosing to allow us to learn how to find and open those doors on our own. thank you to those who create platforms from which one learns to think for oneself and not for anyone else. thank you to those who do not coddle and infantilize. thank you to those who guide us on the journey to discovering ourselves, to learning how to not only love who we are but to respect ourselves. 

these are the people who deserve everything. these are the people who create beginnings of endings. these are the people who push us out of our nests with the knowledge that they have taught us well enough that we will be able to fly. these are the people who smile as they watch us all soar away. these are the people who create the world.

time with these people is limited. but when it ends, we have learned enough from them to be able to create millions of futures for ourselves, to kick down Opportunity's doors. 

endings give us the option of presenting ourselves to the world, truly and authentically and lovingly. the Everlasting People are the ones who let us make beginnings of the ashes that are left over.
