Two days after Brice Aaldenberg arrived, he decided to visit his nephew to try to get some information about the whereabouts of his sister. He barged into Khalil's office. His nephew's secretary was trying to stop him.
Entering the office, Khalil is on the phone. He raised his head and see his uncle. He keeps his cool and acted normal.
"Sir, I tried to-
"It's okay, Ms. Evans," Khalil dismissed her.
He gave a quick signal to his uncle to wait for a moment and go back to his phone.
"I'll call you, later," he said and put down his phone on his table, face down before looking back to his uncle.
He stands up and fixed his suit, "Uncle, what a surprise. What brings you all the way here?" he asked reaching for his uncle's hand and leading him to the sofa.
"Where's my sister?" Brice asked directly.
Khalil made a disappointed look, "And here I thought you came to visit me,"
"Enough with the facade, jonge man," Brice said. (young man)
Khalil's face shows confusion, "Facade? I don't know what you are talking about and if you're looking for Mom, you should ask Dad about her since he is her legal guardian. But I guess you already did and didn't get the answer you seek that's why you're here," Khalil stated.
Brice gritted his teeth, "Just tell me where my sister is. I have the right to know and-
"And what, uncle? Have you forgotten that it's my Dad's call whether he wanted to tell you or not? I, his son don't even know where he took my mother," He said.
"I don't believe you," Brice said.
"It's up to you, but wherever my Dad took my Mom, I trust him. He wants what's best for Mom more than anyone. If I were you, uncle, just stay put and wait for my mother's return. I'm sure she misses you, so much," Khalil said.
Brice flinched a little at the last words. He's worried about what will happen when his sister really came back. He needs to act fast and find her.
"Hier komen is tijdverspilling," Brice uttered and left.
Khalil exhaled deeply, "No, uncle. Coming here is not a waste of time. At least not to me," he mumbled.
Khalil turned around and pick up his phone, which was actually still on call.
"Tua-eng," he called.
"Are you okay?" Kali asked.
"Yeah, now that I heard your voice," Khalil replied.
Kali chuckled, "Don't think about him too much. We have him in the back of our hands without him knowing,"
Khalil sighed, "I know. But still, be careful, Tua-eng. Now that he knows Mom wasn't in NGH, he will proceed to look for your house,"
"Worry not, Teerak. I will give them the hospitality they deserved,"
Khalil could see the mischievousness underlying her voice.
"Just be careful," Khalil reminded her.
"I'm always careful. Anyway, I have to go. I have another dreadful meeting to attend. Haist, it's more fun opening heads in the OR than sitting on a chair for hours listening to someone's blabbering," Kali ranted making Khalil chuckle.
"You and your choice of words," Khalil said.
"Why? I'm a surgeon too, that's what I do," Kali defended.
