"This is far too much food" Grace shook her head as Victor laid down a tray with an assortment of fruit, yogurt, and pancakes.

"Breakfast is important" Victor stated plainly

Grace shook her head, he did have a point. "Victor, why does Sergio call me koroleva?" She asked dishing some fruit in a bowl "What does it mean?"

"It's Russian for queen" Victor explained

Grace shifted slightly and for a second, Elliot's words rang in her ears "You haven't done anything worthy of being our queen"

"What are you thinking of?" Victor asked curiously as he watched her furrow her brow.

"Something Elliot once said" She shook her head "it's not important."

"Most of what Elliot says isn't important" Victor rolled his eyes as he sat back on the bed with his back leaning against the headboard, his eyes studying Grace as she ate her fruit.

Producing an heir was one of his most important jobs, Victors father reminded him of that since the moment he turned sixteen. He was supposed to be married by eighteen to a bride his father had chosen of course, but when his father died so did the deal he had made with the girl Celest's father. That was one of the good things that came with his fathers death. Although Celest was had a pretty face and was a good fuck, she was nothing compared to Grace. Would she have been a good wife and mother? Who knows but Victor knew that there was no one in the world that would make him feel the way Grace did. Even the many times that he had bedded Celest, she didn't come close to what he felt when he was with Grace.

Having a child with Grace had always felt like it would be the most natural thing in the world to happen, he wanted a child with her, that's why he told her not to go on birth control before the wedding. He wanted to have children with her as soon as possible, but now that it was happening, he couldn't help the apprehension he felt. It wasn't that he didn't want a child, but what she had said to him last night kept playing over in his mind. She was right, he had threatened her life, forced her to be his, drugged her, lied to her, left her. He had never felt the mass amount of guilt he was feeling right now ever in his life before. And as if to add insult to injury, he hasn't even told her that he loves her.

"What are you thinking about?" Grace asked taking a bite of the piece of pineapple on her fork as she watched Victors green eyes grow dark with an emotion she couldn't name.

"You being pregnant" He said looking at her making her gulp.

"Are you not happy?" She asked confused.

"It's not that" Victor shook his head

"Then what is it?" Grace asked quickly

"It's just hard to believe" He sighed "Come here" he said opening his arms. Grace crawled over to him sitting between his legs with her back against his chest as his arms wrapped around her. They sat in silence wrapped up in each others embrace until Grace fell asleep. Victors phone vibrated in his pocket.

"Yes?" He answered as softly as he could

"Sorry to interrupt boss, I've just picked up a location from Demani's phone. It's at a house in New Haven" Christoff's voice said on the other end.

"You know what to do, let me know when it's done" Victor instructed before putting his phone down and tightening his hold on Grace.

He had done a lot of bad in the world and he had done bad by Grace too, but that was going to end. He needed to be better, not just for her but for their child. For too long Grace and Victor had both been paying for the sins of their father but it ended here. His child would not pay for his.
