Jason tiredly stretched his shoulders, waited for the officer to remove his handcuffs, and then the one behind the counter gave him a brownish paper envelope. Jason opened it, took out his tie and shoved it into his pocket, then his watch and wallet, and finally his phone. "Where's Elena?" he looked at Evans who was rummaging in his bag. "Miss Vale asked me to tell you that she has work and will see you at home" Jason raised his eyebrows in surprise.

"She didn't come?" Evans looked down and shrugged, hiding a small smile. Jason gritted his teeth, he knew that Elena was angry with him for forbidding her to visit him, but was she so angry with him that she wouldn't wait for him outside? Damn, had he screwed up by keeping her away? "Evans, Elena? Is she mad at me?" Timothy Evan looked at him strangely, but silently shook his head, the two of them walked down the corridor, following the policeman who was supposed to unlock the metal lattice doors for them.

"Miss Vale..." Evan stuttered and frowned, searching for the right words. "How can I say it?" he rubbed his forehead and Jason felt something knot in his stomach and an indefinable feeling tug at his heart. "She's not feeling too well" Jason froze in place and grabbed Evans by the shoulders roughly spinning the older man in place who stared at him startled. "What do you mean she's not well, is she sick?" Jason raised his voice and looked at the officer, who cocked his head, placing a hand on his gun holster and taking an attack stance.

"What...no, no, that's not what I meant" Evans waved his hands in front of him and Jason looked at him again, dropping his shoulders. "What the hell do you mean then?" he growled in a lower voice and Evans cleared his throat, signaling Jason to move on. "Miss Vale didn't sleep last night, in fact she's the reason you got bail, she's tired and I guess she wants to get some rest before you see each other" Jason raised an eyebrow to show him that he didn't believe him but kept quiet .

"Okay, look, Mr. Hex," Evans glared at him as he passed the policeman, exiting into the mesh tunnel, where the two of them were to find themselves on the street, Jason finally free. 'Miss Vale isn't too happy about the fact that you didn't let her come to see you and she's a bit angry with you. But she didn't stop all week, not only was she looking for a way to get you out on bail, but she had to deal with Bianca Turner, she took your place at the firm, and your daughter..." he shook his head and Jason squeaked with teeth.

"Honestly, I admire your fiancée" Jason couldn't help but smile, but he didn't like what he heard at all. Elena had a habit of overworking herself, and now she was overburdened with everything, and she was probably dying of worry, taking into account that even during his arrest she was not feeling well, she was probably collapsed from exhaustion. "Your car sir, I'll follow you in mine" Jason nodded and headed towards his personal vehicle.

Evans handed him the keys and Jason watched him get into his car. He unlocked the door and sat in the driver's seat, leaning his head back with a sigh. "Surprise!" Jason jumped and hit his knee on the steering wheel, spinning backwards. Elena appeared between the front seats, grinning like a kid in a cotton candy store. "For God's sake, kitten!" Jason literally threw her between the seats, landing her on his lap, and hugged her so hard that her breath came out with a sharp hiss.

"I can't...I can...breathe" she whimpered and laughed, cupping his face and kissing him desperately wild and hungry. "God I love you, I've missed you so much, kitty!" he rested his forehead on hers, both of them were breathing heavily, but their smiles were huge. "You missed me but you didn't want to see me" Elena pouted and Jason sighed. "You know why I insisted you not come" Elena shook her head, closing her eyes and kissed him passionately again.

"Wow" Jason pressed Cristina to his chest and she cupped his cheeks placing a wide open wet kiss on his nose. "Daddy's princess has grown at least five centimeters, huh?" Elena laughed, swinging her leg over his knee. "That's what I missed the most" Jason put Cristina on his other knee and wrapped his free arm around Elena's hips, bringing her in to beg for a kiss.
