1: Seeing him the first time

You arrived at the Neighborhood A month ago, Meeting the neighbors the same day, except for one. Julie, Sally, Barnaby, and Poppy helped you move in, While Howdy, Eddie, and Frank brought you a welcome basket. It was nice having Neighbors that were kind and helpful.

You woke up, and Started getting ready for the day. "Okay y/n.. You can do this!" You said to yourself in the mirror. You wanted to go to Howdy's Shop to pay him a visit. As you left your room, you walked toward your kitchen to make breakfast. As you opened the fridge, you realized you needed to go shopping. "Ah, crap.. That slipped my mind. I guess it's cereal today..." you sighed to yourself as you made the bowl of cereal.

After you were done, You placed the Empty Bowl in the sink, and got dressed in your f/c outfit. As you walked through the front door, You saw someone you never met walking by. He was Tall, and had yellow skin and long blue hair. As you were about to say Hello, He was gone. You sighed softly, "I guess he's busy right now." You closed the door and made your way to Howdy's Shop.

The bell rang, alerting Howdy that someone had entered the store. "Welcome!" Howdy said you with a warm smile. "Good morning Howdy" you replied as you did your shopping. During your shopping, you stopped and looked at Howdy. "Hey, Howdy? I have a question." You said as you grabbed the apples in front of you. "What is it, y/n?" He replied. "I saw someone walk by my house. I never met them so I was wondering if you knew who they were?" You spoke as you kept shopping.

"What did they look like?" Howdy asked you as you walked over to him to pay for the items in your hand basket. "He was tall, had blue hair and yellow skin." You replied. "Oh! Why, That's Wally Darling. I'm shocked to hear someone saw him!" He said with a relieved smile. "What do you mean by that?" You asked Howdy as he was tallying up the price.

"Well, no one has seen him ever since the Factory outside of the neighborhood was built just about a month before you arrived here,
y/n." He said as he looked at the apples in your basket. "After it was built, he never really came back often, but from what I'm hearing about you seeing him, I'm assuming that he comes back late and leaves very early.. So your total is $25.65." He said looking at you. "Wait.." You spoke, "Shouldn't it be $26.25?" You asked.

Howdy looked at you and smiled softly. "The apples are on me today. Besides," he places an extra apple on the counter. "Since it has been a while, could you bring him an apple? They're his favorite." He asked with a smile. "Of course I can, Howdy." You said as you paid him. "Thanks for stopping by, y/n. Tell Wally I said hello." He said waving at you as you left his shop.

You went home to put the groceries away, once you were finished, you grabbed the extra apple Howdy gave to you and put it in your bag. You took a deep breath, and made your way to where you saw Wally head to in the forest. After 10 minutes of walking, you see the massive building, which you assumed was the factory he worked at.

"Okay, y/n... you can do this. Just be the polite neighbor you are... remember to smile..." you said to yourself. You didn't know why, but this building was making you extremely nervous, as it was not as colorful as the houses in the neighborhood from the outside. You took one last deep breath, and made your way inside the factory.
