You had that same dream again, drowning in color, but the sight of that dismembered puppet was there, sobbing as the workers did their job. You couldn't move except to cover your ears to the sound of the machine and screams that followed. You even saw Wally walk up to you with a really creepy smile as he walked up to you. As you looked up to meet his gaze, he was about to use one of the tools on you, until you woke up in a panic.

"What the Fuck is up with these nightmares..?" You sighed as you looked at the time. It was still late at night. You were too stressed to fall back to sleep, so you got up and went outside for some fresh air. While walking around the neighborhood, you bumped into Eddie the mailman. "Ah! Y/n, good evening. What are you doing up so late?" He asked as he smiled sweetly at you. "Ah, I couldn't sleep, so I thought I would just take a walk to clear my head." You replied as you sighed.

"I see. Well, Y/n, you can join me in a walk while I deliver mail." He replied. "It's up to you." You smiled warmly at Eddie. "Thanks, I think I will join you." You said as you started following him. "So, what's on your mind? Since you said that you couldn't sleep?" He asked as he made his way towards Barnaby's house with you.

You didn't want to tell him everything, so you just replied with the most simple answer. "Well, I recently started a new job." You started thinking carefully about your next words to the jolly mailman. "Really? That's wonderful!" He said with a smile. "Yeah, but... I don't know, the job is kinda causing nightmares.." you spoke softly, he frowned after hearing that sentence from you. "What kind of nightmares?" He asked. "Me Drowning..." you said simply.

Eddie thought for a moment, unsure what to say as the two of you headed towards Julie's house. "Drowning, eh? That's a scary sounding dream.. how often have you had that dream?" He asked while digging through his bag. "Ever since I started the job two days ago.." you replied, a part of you wanted to say more, but you didn't want to scare him with the horrors of the Factory.

"What I suggest is maybe try to get some time off from the job, focus on yourself, and maybe enjoy a day with friends." He replied as he finished his mail route. You smiled softly at him, before replying. "It may be a while before I can.. Like I said, I started two days ago.. but thank you for letting me vent about it Eddie.." you felt calmer, and he chuckled softly. "I'm always happy to help Y/n." He replied as he turned around. "I'll see you later. Get some rest." He smiled as he left you alone.

You smiled as you went back into your home, going back into your bed to sleep. Luckily, you didn't have another nightmare. As you woke up to the sound of Wally knocking on your door, you sighed. 'Third day in hell... Let's get it fucking over with.' You thought to yourself as you quickly made a sandwich and opened the door for Wally to walk with you back to the Factory.

As you both walked, Wally glanced over at you. "So, I saw you walking around last night with Eddie." He spoke. You slightly panicked, worried if he followed the two of you last night and listened in on the conversation. You gulped as he continued. "What were you talking about with him?" He asked.

You felt a weight lift from your shoulders, 'at least he wasn't eavesdropping on us.. Like a creep...' you thought to yourself before speaking. "We were just catching up, he is my friend after all." You replied. "Ah, I see." Wally spoke as he ate the apple with his eyes. "Wally. Why were you awake around the same time as I was?" You finally asked. "What do you mean, Y/n?" He asked.

"Wally, if you saw me with Eddie, that means you were awake." You responded coldly at him, which was a first. He paused, you could tell he either didn't know what to say, or he was getting irritated by you catching him. He spoke the second you were about to enter the factory. "I tend to wake up extremely early to do other things." He replied. You didn't believe that answer but you took it anyways.

The day went on as normal, Grabbing Wally his coffee, Grabbing files from the Labs, and saying hello to the workers that passed by. There wasn't much to do considering that you and Wally were waiting for the results from your first experiment, so Wally gave you a new task. "I want you to go up to every single employee and write down what they are working on. Except for the guards." Wally spoke as he handed you a clipboard with the names of all the employees.

"This is so that I know that we are making progress. It's a weekly thing." He said as you stood up from the chair that you were seated in. "Sure, anything else?" You asked as you were about to leave. "Hm. I am going to ask you go down to the infirmary to fill out your medical forms. That way I know if there is something that we need to know about if you get injured." He spoke as he looked up at you from his desk. "Of course Wally. I'll be back later" you said as you left his office.
