The rest of the day was calm, you went and did what Wally asked if you until the shift ended. As he walked you home, he spoke up. "How are you feeling y/n? After that explosion.." he started before you interrupted him. "No, it was my mistake, I poured the liquid in too fast and-.." he shushed you which made you blush a little bit. "It wasn't your fault, Y/n. The separated ones did the same thing but it was delayed. I don't blame you for being spooked by it." He said softly as the two of you kept walking.
"If you want, do you need me to keep you company tonight, Like Eddie did last night?" He asked coldly yet sweetly. You knew that he would witness you potentially having a nightmare, so you sighed. "I think... I'll be okay, but thanks anyway, Wally." You spoke in a soft tone. He sighed as you went inside your home, closing the door behind you, carrying your nightly routine as normal, before drifting off to sleep.
You were right, you had another nightmare. You woke up like normal, until you heard the door being knocked on. You got up to open it, outside was Sally Starlet. "Y/n! Sorry if I woke you up, Eddie told me about last night and I wanted to check in on you." She spoke. You smiled warmly at her as you reassured her. "No, it's fine, I was awake anyways.. Do you want to come in?" You asked as you looked slightly down at her.
"Are you sure... I don't want to be bothering you, Y/n.." she spoke before you responded. "I don't mind at all. I can make you some tea." Sally beamed at you. "Oh thank you, Y/n..!" She spoke before entering your home and sitting on the couch. You went into the kitchen to boil water for the tea. "Sally, If I may ask, Could you not sleep?" You asked as she looked around your home.
"No.. I was actually Worried about you. Like I said, Eddie told me about your Nightmares of drowning and I wanted to... you know.." she said as you handed her a cup of tea. "I understand Sally." You said as you sat down beside her. "Careful, it's still hot. I don't want you to burn your mouth." You chuckled softly as you blew on your tea to cool it down. Sally looked at you and took notice of something you haven't yet.
"Y/n, where did that come from?" Sally asked as she grabbed a part of your h/c hair which had a indication of being burnt. You looked at the strand of hair she was holding. 'Fuck.' you thought as you assumed that it came from the explosion of chemicals earlier today. You quickly thought of a lie to make her not panic. "Oh, I was cooking something and it caught fire. I didn't notice that my hair got a bit burnt." You said nervously. Thankfully she bought the lie.
"Oh my Goodness! I'm gonna go grab Julie! We need to fix up your hair!" Sally started as she stood up quickly. "Sally, it's only one strand-.." you we're about to say before she interrupted you. "Y/n! There's a burn here, here, here, here, AND Here!! Don't move, I'll be right back!" She said as she sprinted out the door. "Sally!! Wait!... and she's gone..." you sighed to yourself.
A few moments later, you heard another knock at your door that reminded you of the sound woodpeckers made. You opened the door to see Julie Joyful and Sally. "Oh My Stars Sally!! You're right! Y/n Does need their hair fixed!" Julie shrieked as both of them grabbed each of your arms. "Don't worry Y/n! I know exactly what to do!!" Julie said as she sat you on a chair in your dining room. "Please don't make a mess..." you muttered as Julie and Sally worked on your hair.
Thankfully they didn't do too awful much like they normally did, but the change was still noticeable. "Ah!! Y/n! You look so much better!" Julie beamed as Sally smiled "You look so Pretty!!" Sally spoke as you got flustered by their compliments. "Thanks..! But can we try to not wake up the entire neighborhood..?" You asked with a small giggle and the girls both laughed along with you.
After an hour, They left you to sleep. You were happy that you had such wonderful friends. Thinking that everyone was done coming to your home, you were about to go upstairs until another knock at your door startled you. 'Who the hell could it be now..?' You thought to yourself as you went to open it, there stood Wally. "I heard a lot of noise, is everything-..." he paused as he looked down at you, noticing your hair.
"I'm so sorry if the noise woke you up, Julie and Sally-..." you started before he spoke again "Your hair..." he said before picking up a strand looking at it intensely. "It looks different..." he said quietly while playing with the strand in his hand. "Julie and Sally decided that I needed a makeover..." you spoke as he let the strand fall out of his hand. "It looks good." He said looking into your eyes. "Thank you, Wally." You replied before continuing.
"Anything else you need, Mr. Darling..?" You asked him as he smirked lightly. "No, just wanted to make sure you were okay with how loud Sally and Julie's squealing was." He said as he chuckled lowly. You giggled at his response. "Alright Wally, I'll see you in the Morning then." You smiled as you slowly closed the door. "Goodnight, Y/n" you heard him say beyond the door, followed by him walking away.
