"Thanks for the meal, you guys!" Y/n chirped, smiling happily as she was finally able to get a decent dinner for once.
"Please, it's no problem. You did me a big favor after all! Come inside!" Kaveh replied, opening the door to the girl. She looked at him, questionably, before looking at the dorm in front of her. 'Gee... Is my merch that big of a deal to him?'
Cyno, Tighnari, and Al-Haitham were already inside.
"We've invited Dehya, Candace, and Nilou too. They'll be here in a minute."
The dorm smelled lovely. The aroma of delicious food wafted through the air. The dorm was well lit, with posters of various pop culture aspects on one side, while on the other, blank, minimalistic walls adorned with rows and rows of books and miniature plants. It was quite spacious, resembling an apartment more than a dormitory; but that's how all of the school's dorms were anyway.
It complemented the two roommates nicely.
"Perfect timing. The food's almost ready." Al-Haitham said, fixing his gaze to the food in the oven. Y/n didn't notice this, but Cyno and Tighnari certainly did. They looked at each other, before looking back at Y/n and Al-Haitham. Kaveh stood there, questioning their actions.
'Gee.. He's as cold as ever; wonder why he's been avoiding me.'
Soon, the others had arrived.
"Heyy! Sorry, we're a bit late. We brought some juice!" Nilou said, walking into their dorm. Dehya escorted Candace inside.
After a while, dinner was finally served. It was delicious. The aroma of sweet madame made Y/n's mouth water. The sticky honey roast was absolutely scrumptious! Everyone's plates were wiped clean.
"Gee, 'Haitham. Since when were you such a good cook?" Dehya asked, taking a sip from her glass.
"I've always been good at cooking," Al-Haitham responded, his eyes focused on his plate.
"Oh please. I'd bet money that Professor Raiden could make better food." Kaveh said, mockingly.
"Didn't she almost burn her house down doing that...?" Tighnari said, side-eying Kaveh as he did.
Dehya laughed at that. So did Candace. And Nilou. And Cyno.
"Ahem.. So anyway, what are you guys' plans for the weekend?" Y/n interrupted, breaking the awkward tension between Kaveh and Tighnari.
Al-Haitham finally looked up at Y/n. (Cyno noticed this and nudged Tighnari a little bit.)
"Nothing much... I'll probably go shopping since I'm done with most of my projects," Dehya said, proudly.
"So am I." Candace added.
"I'm going to a concert with a few other friends!" Nilou beamed.
"Cyno and I are going camping," Tighnari said, calmly. Cyno whipped his head towards the green-haired boy. "Wait we are?"
"I have to finish an assignment.." Kaveh said, disheartened.
"What about you guys? 'Haitham? Y/n?" Candace asked, puzzled by their sudden silence.
"I'm... going to read," Al-Haitham responded, nonchalantly.
"Geee.. all you ever do is read.." Nilou said, taking a sip from her glass. "Try something new!"
Candace chuckled. "And you, Y/n?"
...
"I'll probably play a few video games." That was half true. She was going to stream during the weekend. Of course, she didn't want to tell them that yet.
"Have you played Stellaron Mentality?" Cyno asked.
Of course, she had! It was her favorite game, ever! She was about to speak, before Kaveh interrupted.
"The game Elysium's been playing?" Kaveh asked, tilting his head.
"Oooh yeah! Her streams are always so fun to watch~" Nilou chirped, resting her head on her hand.
Y/n was shocked. Even Nilou watches her streams?
"Isn't she that faceless streamer? Her voice is adorable." Candace said, looking at her phone.
'Crap! Even Candace?! This is so awkward.. Better say something so they don't think I'm being shy..'
"Y-yeah... I really enjoy watching her streams!"
It was just then that Y/n had realized.
She had walked into a room where almost everyone knew her, without actually knowing her.
All of the lies she told onstream, from her favorite colors to how fun her life was. These people actually believed her.
Except of course, Al-Haitham.
