Al-haitham's eyes fluttered open, the sound of his alarm blaring into his ear. As he got up to turn it off, he recalled the events of last night._______________
The night before, a gathering was arranged to celebrate the return of Kaveh's beloved keychain. Everyone knew how popular and important Elysium was, and it was no surprise that Kaveh was a fan. Al-Haitham remembered how anxious Y/n was during that dinner. How she fidgeted with the hem of her sweater, how she darted her eyes toward someone at the mere mention of Elysium, and how nervous she was. As soon as the dinner ended, she practically threw herself out of the dorm, as if in a rush to get back. That was until Al-Haitham pulled her aside.
Nobody was watching, thankfully. The rest had all gone home. It was just her, Al-Haitham, and the sound of a drunk Kaveh snoring in his room. "Hm? What is it?" She asked, trying to play it cool. Al-Haitham tilted his head, as if he was searching her eyes for something.
"You're Elysium, arent you?" He asked, crossing his arms.
Y/n's eyes widened, her heart racing with nervousness. How did he find out? She was sure she hid it well, she never even mentioned or told anyone about it! She hated how direct he was being about it. She hated how cocky he looked. Oh well, no use hiding it now.
"So what if I am?" She replied, nervously averting her gaze to the ground. Was he going to tell the others? Was he going to tell the whole school? Would he doxx her on stream? Was he going to blackmail her? All of these thoughts raced through her mind, until he finally spoke up.
"Just asking." Al-Haitham said, shrugging his shoulders.
What.
"That's.. it?" She looked at him, nervously awaiting his next answer.
"What? Did you think I'd expose you?" He asked. His tone was implying: 'Are you stupid?'
"Well... Duh! What else are you going to do now that you know my job?" She asked, angrily. She was getting frustrated with his cockiness.
"I don't know.. I'll tell Kaveh, I guess."
"WHATWHAHWHA-"
"Shh.. Keep your voice down. Im not that dense. of course, I won't tell him."
"So then what WILL you do?!"
"Were you assuming I was going to do something bad?" He scoffed, "Im offended that you'd think of me in such a manner."
Y/n was practically fuming at this point. Was he doing this just to annoy her?
"Whatever. I'm going back to my dorm." She said, finally storming off. Alhaitham scoffed.
"Goodnight to you too, I guess." That wasn't until he noticed something on the ground.
A shiny, small yet adorable chibi pin of Elysium. He picked it up, placed it in his pocket, and headed back inside.
"I'll be holding onto this."
