Chapter nineteen

Matthew watched with a flabbergasted smile as Ryan practically inhaled her food. They decided to eat something before starting their drive to Oxnard, the flight had ended up being canceled and as much as he prefered flying there, cause it was faster, he was glad his girl wouldn't have to suffer.

"Are you at least chewing?" He asked with a laugh was she swallowed and brought her cup to her mouth.

"Damn, little lady can eat!" Alex joked, sitting next to Matt.

"What?" She said confused to then take another sip of het coke

Matt shook his head, laughing silently as he ate his fries.

"How can you eat that fast?" Alex asked her.

"I'm the middle child out of six, if you don't eat fast you simply don't eat. And the feeling of eating burger king when you really felt like fast food is, like, ten times better than an orgasm..." she stated, watching her boyfriend look up at her from his fries and blink a few times, hoping that wasn't the end of her sentence "...you're obviously the exception for this rule" Ryan winked at him while shooting him a finger gun.

"At least I know this is the closest you'll get to cheating on me" he shrugged.

Having finished his food Alex went to rent a car so they could make their way to California, Matt saved a few fries for the trip and him and Callum started filming the beginning of the next 'Rife on the road' episode while Ryan went to the bathroom.

"Hi there, and welcome to another episode of Rife on the road. We're currently at the airport and we're headed to Oxnard, California for a few other shows. I've got some friends and family coming to see me, got my girl with me, this is gonna be fun. " He smiled at the camera while holding on to his neck pillow and the paper bag with his fries in it "and if you don't knkw where Oxnard is, don't feel bad, we don't either...but Google maps does so" he shurgged popping a frie into his mouth.

"I forgot to say we're driving there cause our flight was canceled" the said as Cal slid the car door open.

"So quite literally Rife on the road" Ryan added, sitting on Matt's right.

"Let's go Alex" the green eyed boy clapped and Cal panned over to the man.

"I have to drive" the blonde, buzz cut man said to the camera annoyed before climbing into the driver's seat.

Ryan jumped as Matt leaned forward all of a sudden, pretending to choke Alex with his seat belt, all three of them laughed as the brunette got back to his seat while Callum walked around the car, having filmed the whole interaction.

It was very early in the morning, so the sun wasn't up yet. A few minutes into the drive Ryan fell asleep, using the seat belt as a pillow to not bother Matt. After hearing her head bonk softly on the side of the door he looped his fingers around her arm and pulled her towards himself, undoing her seat belt so he could lay her on his lap.

He smiled happily as he watched her curl herself into a ball onto the rest of the seats, bringing her right arm around her neck and her hand under her head, which was how she always slept. Matt moved the hair out of her face so it wouldn't tickle her and she could sleep soundly.

"I don't think I've ever seen you look at someone like that, bro" Alex said quietly, looking at the boy through the rear view mirror.

"Shut up" he rolled his eyes, thinking the man was about to make fun of him.

"No, I'm serious. It's nice seeing you so happy, I'm glad you find someone who you're comfortable around. It's nice isn't it?" He said, watching as the boy wrapped an arm around her body, just in case, so she wouldn't fall.
