As Ryan layed on the operation bed, trying not to move very much, her eyes moved around the room, catching only an arm or the back of a nurse's scrubs and the ceiling.

"Okay, Ryan. Let's count to ten together, hm?" The blonde woman smiled at her, placing the oxigen mask over her nose and mouth.

"One...two.." the girl coulf feel her eyelids growing heavy every second "..three..four..." she didn't even get to five before falling asleep completely.

"Alright people, her appendix is seconds away from a rupture. We can't let that happen, I need it out for yesterday. Let's get to work" she clapped, extending her left hand so they would hand her the scalpel.

Meanwhile in the waiting area, Matt paced teying to stay calm as his phone beeped, he was hoping Ben of all her siblings would pick up. He didn't want to have to call Joe, the guy hated him, Sawyer and Nick were probably gonna worry and he wasn't exactly in speaking terms with Peyton. He would've called Sebastian but it was still too early and that man had had enough the past few days.

"Hello, what's up?" The curly haired boy answered finally.

"Hey man, how's it going?" The green eyed boy asked out of politeness.

"I'm good, dude it's not even 5 in the morning...is everything okay?" Ben asked confused, not even Ryan would call him this early.

"Yeah..uhhh, kinda..listen, I'm sure everything is fine but we're at the hospital right now. Ryan stomach was killing her" he said, scratching thebback of his head nervously.

"Oh...okay, is she alright?" The boy asked a bit worried "I mean, if you're in the hospital something is obviously wrong but, what happened?" He chuckled at his own stupidity

"She started throwing up and hadn't been feeling well this past few days. I think she's taking some tests right now, they said they'd keep me updated" Matt shrugged even though the boy couldn't see him.

"Kay, thanks for telling me man. I'll tell dad in a few hours, keep us updated and tell her I said hi" the boy said.

Ben and Ryan were very close, as cheesy as it sounds they were truly friends more than brother and sister, of course she loved all of her siblings but her and Ben just had a different type of connection. The kind of bond where they just tease each other and say rude shit but they know it's all jokes and that everything is okay.

They would share clothes, watch shows together, shit on the shows the other liked and one of them found silly, he'd forse her to watch horror movies with him even though she'd poop her pants, they stood up late endless nights eating out of the same pint of ice-cream. Ben even knew what she was feeling for Matt even before Ryan told her own boyfriend, when she was still in flirting stage with him, Ben would tell her what to say and how long to wait before textung back, he was basically guilty for the two ending up together...on Ryan's end at least...

"Will do bud, sorry to bother you" the brunette said into his phone, a small smile appearing on his face.

As he looked up eom his feet he saw the blonde doctor walking over to him, she didn't have any expression on her face so he chose not to worry yet.

"Matt..." she called him and he lifted a finger.

"Kay Ben, I gotta hang up now. Text you in a bit" he said and hung up quickly, turning to the woman "yeah?" He asked, eyes full of hope.

"She's fine, it was appendicitis. That's why she couldn't sit up, there was a whole infectious process going on and her body was trying to clean itself by making her throw up. Ryan also mentioned having fever a few hours before she started emptying her stomach" the woman explained.
