Chapter 18

It was currently 3 a.m on a Friday, the couple was getting ready to go to the airport and catch their flight to Atlanta, or as Matt liked to call it: Mattlanta.

The green eyed boy had made his girlfriend shower first by gaslighting her into taking a long time in the bathroom, yet here she sat, suitcases packed, hair air dried and comfy clothes, all ready to get going as he was just finishing with his late nigh/early morning poop. She even buzzed Alex in cause Matt was still in the bathroom.

"Yo, little mermaid we have to be there at 5 stat. Let's go Matt" she told him, banging on the door for emphasis.

"Wait, wait, wait, wait! Come in Ry" he pleaded from inside the bathroom, the sound of running water confusing her.

《Can anyone here running wotah?》 She thought and laughed to herself.

"Dude, I'm not getting in with you. I already showered, I even washed my hair Matt" she told him, opening the door and closing it behind her as she walked into the steamy room. "Are you boiling yourself in there? Damn it's hot in here" she said gasping for air jokingly.

"Shut up, listen" he said, popping his head out of the glass curtain and pointing at the air after tapping his ear with a smile.

The girl listended closely as the chords to Perfect Harmony started playing, she gave her boyfriend a 'really?' Look and he shot her his signature puppy eyes.

"Come on, you love it" he said quickly and then started singing along "🎶step into my world, bitter sweet love story 'bout a girl, shook me to the core, voice like an angel, I've never heard before🎶" Matt winked at her.

You'd be surprised cause the only times he sings for real is either in the shower, in the car, or when he's alone with Ryan but Matt actually had an amazing singing voice.

"🎶here in front of me, he's shining so much brighter than I have ever seen, life can be so mean, but when he goes I know he doesn't leave🎶" she sang and Matt went back to his shower, continuing with the song as he applied shampoo.

They harmonized together till the end of the song, when Ryan walked back out as he finished with his shower calmly.

"I don't know if you've noticed but you got him kicking his feet and giggling" Alex told her as she walked back into the living room.

"You think I don't know?" She raised an eyebrow at him as she plopped down on the couch next to him "what do you think this on my neck is? Mosquito bite?" She tilted her head showing him.

"Yeah, but that's different. I mean obviously he missed you a lot to go Dahmer mode" the older man joked "but he never shuts up about you and whenever you were gone back to Chicago he'd be all blue and grumpy, like a fussy baby" the man said.

"Like Sadness from inside out" she said smiling at Alex.

"Oh, I love that movie" Matt said, walking into the living room, freshly changed "I grabbed you an extra hoodie in case you get cold" he told Ryan, lifting her dark green OBX hoodie in his right hand.

"Fucking finally, you wanna miss your plain Rife? I knew love made you stupid but not this much" Alex joked, getting kicked on the butt as he walked past Matt.

"It has nothing to do with her, shut up" he said seriously

"I'm so no ready for you to see me at my worst" the black haired girl told her boyfriend, adjusting her black beanie on her head. "I hate flights"

"Hey, I got you" he said reaching an arm out for her to hug him.

Ryan smiled pressing herself to his side as they walked out of the apartment.
