"Beautiful Rose!" That's what my name 'Rosabella' means, making it my
nickname. If I am being precise that's what they say is their favorite way to
address me. Now you might ask who are 'They'? They are those persons I have been surrounded by my entire life till now. Many came, many left but we all have those dear constants in our life. But this makes me wonder sometimes if I really am that beautiful blooming rose or that withered one, that people don't usually prefer having. What will you prefer by the way?Now coming back to why I am sitting here wondering over exactly that same point the 30th time in these 6 months. This has its origin from this same day a year ago. The day that placed me where I am and made me who I am today. The day I set foot for the first time in the campus I'm in right now.
I entered my college with agitation. I kept on fidgeting with my fingers and
looking around the campus. I went near the building and checked the list of the room number we were allotted. I went inside the building and made my way up to my locker. There I saw two girls standing. One of them was my best friend, Ashley and the other one was the one who I met through Ashley, Lena.Ashley and I are friends since kindergarten. We completed our schooling from the same school and now we are here, in the same college. Interesting, isn't it? We share everything with each other.
Ashley is totally different from me. If I am water, she is fire, a sweet fire though. I hate to socialize but she loves it. I am an introvert but she is an extrovert. She is open but I am not and hence we made up to be best
friends.I went near them and waved my hand. Ashley came and hugged me and said,
"Finally you are here. We have been waiting for you." I hugged her back and then the bell rang. We took our books and went inside our classrooms.
Lena was in different class and she was sad about it because apart from us she
had no friends here.Ashley and I entered the class. I was nervous but Ashley was not. As soon as we stepped inside the class all eyes were on us. The class was half empty. A shiver ran down my spine. I hate it whenever I get unnecessary attention.
We took our seat and soon the professor came. He was teaching and everyone paid attention to him. Yeah, because everyone must pretend to be sincere at least on the first day. After an hour, the class got over. I saw Ashley talking to a girl who was sitting behind us. Her name was Darla. She looked like an innocent and timid girl. Ashley, as usual, had already interacted with her earlier. She introduced me to her. I waved her hello and talked with her.
After another class, it was time for recess. Lena came to our class and started complaining about her own class. We laughed at her remarks. We interacted for some time and the bell rang. After another 3 hours of study, it was finally time to go home. 'First day was not so interesting and was kind of boring', I thought. But didn't know that God had something else planned for me in the upcoming
months.Heya people! :)
So, this is my first story ever. It took my blood, sweat and tears to write it. Hahaha.I hope y'all would like it.
Stay tuned for further chapters! ;)
