I woke up to my alarm buzzing. I put it off and sat on my bed. I stretched my body and jumped off the bed to get ready. After getting ready, I picked my phone up only to see a text from Rey, it wrote good morning. I smiled and wished him back. Then, I went downstairs.

“Good morning, mom-dad!” I spoke cheerfully. “Morning!” they replied. “You look so cheerful today. What's the reason behind it, hmm?” my mom asked. “You don’t need any reason to be happy.” “Correct my child.” my father said patting my back.

After breakfast my father said, “Rose, I'll drop you off at college today.” “Okay!” Then my father and I left the house. I sat inside the car and my father asked, “How’s college going?” “Pretty good!” he hummed. We talked about random things on our way to college.
“Alright dad, I'll go now. Bye!” I hugged him, went out of the car and he drove away.

I saw Ethan at the entrance. He looked and me and gave each other a fist bump. “What’s up?” I asked. “All good. You look happier than usual.” “Really? My mom said the exact thing.” “What’s the reason, huh?” he asked while smirking. I gave him an unamused face.

We went to our respective locker. His locker was exactly opposite to mine. We took our books and made our way to the class. We took our respective seats and soon the bell rang. The professor came and started teaching. After an hour, he ended the class and went.

Everyone started talking. Just then my phone pinged. It was Rey. “How are you?” he asked. “I’m fine, how about you?” I replied. I was smiling while texting and noticed it when Ash interrupted. “Why are you smiling while texting? Who are you talking to?” “Rey.” “What?!” I shushed her. I told her everything, from the grocery store to the birthday party.

"Oh my. All this happened and you are telling me now? Huh.” “Ash.” “Anyway, continue with your chat.” She gave me a wink and smiled cheekily and I laughed.

After the classes were over, we decided to visit a café. We went to the nearby
café. After settling down, we gave our orders. “I still can’t get over that event.”
spoke Lena to which everyone nodded. “And I can’t get over Rey.” Darla spoke,
keeping her chin on her palm. Everyone bursted into laughter.

“Swooning over him. How pathetic.” Ethan spoke. Darla hit him on his arms.
Minutes later, we received our order. We talked and ate. After 2 hours of fun, we left for our home. After reaching home, I received a text from Aron. We talked for a few minutes and then I went to freshen up.

The day was, as usual, nothing special. After having dinner, I went to my bedroom. I picked my phone up from the nightstand to see a missed call from Rey. I called him back and he said that he had called casually. We talked about the event, about ourselves and much more. After a hour of talking, I drifted to sleep.

----**----

5 months had passed; we enjoyed our college life. Our friendship grew stronger and stronger. Apart from Ashley, I became closer to Lena. The bond between me and Rey became stronger. We talked, went for outing, opened ourselves to each other. In the time being, I started to gain feelings for him, and so did he.

I started to feel a connection between us. He understood my feelings and
emotions. Sometimes, I felt blessed to have him in my life. He shared about his past with me and so did I. We trusted each other; not blindly though.

It was a Sunday afternoon, when I received a text from Rey. He asked whether I'd like to go out with him in the evening or not and I said yes.

In the evening I got ready and he came to pick me up. I went downstairs and spoke, “Mom, dad, I'm heading
out.” “With Rey?” my mom asked. “Yeah...” I spoke, confused at her excitedness.
