2 months had already passed. Our college journey was fun and exciting. We interacted with many, made new friends and enjoyed our college life to the fullest.
Ashley’s POV:
“Rose, I'm going to the library. I need a book.” I informed her. “Okay, you want me to come with you?” she asked. Just then Felix came there and spoke, “You are going to the library? Let's go together, I need a book too.” “Alright” I replied.
We reached the library and talked while roaming. While talking, he asked whether I read or not and I must say he had excellent speaking skills. I replied to his question saying, “Yeah, I do read. Well not the tangible books, but the E-Books. I love to read fictional stories.” “Oh, that’s great! I too love to read. It's my hobby” he spoke with a laugh at the end. After getting the books, we left the library and went to our class.
Rosabella’s POV:
I was sitting at my place and was talking to my friends, then I saw Ash and Felix entering the classroom, with books in their hand. Both came to us, took their respective seats and began chatting with others. Soon the professor came and started teaching.
After the class got over, Ash said, “By the way Rose and Darla, I have something to say.” Darla sat with us. We asked her what is it. She said, “There’s an event in my dance academy, and we’ve been preparing it for two weeks. The event is in a week, and we could invite the outsiders to the event too. So, I was thinking if you all could come...” With that she paused.
Darla and I looked at each other, thought for a moment and said, “Of course, Why not! It would be so much fun there.” Ash screamed and jumped. She was elated that we would come to the event. She asked others and they were ready too.
Ashley told us everything about the event. Whenever I asked Ash about her dance class, she would talk about it excitedly. I remember her talking about an event to be organized there. She invited the whole group. All of us started to discuss. I laughed at how excited all were about this event.
After dismissal, we came out of the building. Ash spoke, “Listen, listen. Since tomorrow’s Sunday, why don’t you all visit my dance class?” Everyone looked at each other and nodded their head in confirmation. Felix spoke, “Even if it wouldn’t have been a Sunday, I would still have visited there.” Darla and Lena agreed with him and Ashley laughed at them and said, “Okay then! I'll send the location and be there by 9.” After that we all left for home.
When I reached home, I told mom everything about the day and what Ash told us. She said, “That’s fine! You could go.” My parents are strict, but not too strict, like how every parent should be. They would never stop me from spending time with my friend or partying at late night, but that doesn’t mean that I'm a dishonest or an unprincipled child. They pamper me a lot, after all I'm their only child. I jumped out of excitement, thanked her and went to my room to freshen up.
Next Day
I woke up and started my morning routine. I received a call from Ash. I picked up and said hello. She asked, “Bro, are you ready?” I replied, “Yeah, I am. I'll be leaving in 5 minutes.” I hanged up. I told my mom that I'm leaving for the dance academy. My father had already left for his office. He is a government official. I'm an Italian. My father got transferred to Queensland, Australia, when I was 3 and since then, we have been living here.
After 10-15 minutes I reached the place. I saw Felix and Darla standing outside. I went near them. Darla said, “Hey! We are waiting for others to come, so that we could go inside together.” Soon after Lena and Ethan came and we went inside.
When we entered the room, we saw Ashley and two others talking, they looked serious. We went near them. “Hey Ash, what’s the matter?” I asked. She looked strained. “Our main choreographer had an emergency so he had to leave immediately. He’s out of town and won’t return before two weeks. So, now we don’t have a choreographer, but the manager said that he has called for another one.” she said. “Okay, but what’s there to worry about?” asked Darla.
“The thing is we are left with so much to prepare, and we have only 6 days left. Only god knows how this new choreographer would be and if he would be able to handle everything in such a short span of time. Nobody knows about him so I'm a bit scared about it.” Ash explained, a bit exaggerated. “Relax babe, everything will be fine. Don’t stress yourself out.” I said, calming her down.
Ash is a type who needs perfection in everything she does and if anything doesn’t go as planned, she stresses out.
As soon as I said this, the door opened and all heads were turned in that direction. Two men entered the room, one was the manager and the another, I supposed, was the new choreographer. Everyone kept on looking at them, especially at the new guy, nobody diverted their eyes. The manager came and introduced the other guy to everyone.
“Okay everyone! Meet your new choreographer, Rey Thompson. He will be leading you all for the time being and I hope everybody will cooperate with him”, the manager spoke. He then turned to Rey and with a smile said, “Mr. Rey, you are most welcomed to our dance academy and I hope your experience here will be delightful.” Rey returned the smile and thanked the manager.
Rey was, well, different from all others. He was handsome, perhaps not in a conventional sense, but he had that appearance which could make him stand out in the crowd. He was fair, almost pale white. His smile was captivating and contagious. Above all was his frame and his stature. He was not muscular. He was not the kind who had girls swooning over him, but was simple and innocent.
Ashley and the other dancers went towards him and greeted him. “Guys, come here.” Ash motioned us to come, we went to them. Rey looked at us and gave everyone a slight smile. It was then when our eyes met.
His light brown eyes were as deep and expressive, where you could get lost if you stared long enough. Often you could see a hint of pain in his sparkling eyes, which would disappear as soon as it emerged. He was perhaps, one in a million, who was “nothing special, but at the same time has a touch of uniqueness within him.”
No doubt, Ashley, Lena, Darla and I kept staring at him. He had something in him which attracted us towards him. He gathered the dancers in the centre of the room and me and my friends took our seat in the corner of the room. He, first, saw the dance, which was already prepared, and made the necessary changes.
I kept on looking at him. It felt like I could not divert my eyes, but I forced myself not to stare at him. ‘Gain your shits, Rosabella’ I thought to myself. After the practice session was over, we all got ready to leave. I looked at Rey and saw him packing his bag. ‘He’s cute.’ I thought while smiling and left the building.
Pretty long description of Rey Thompson.
I hope y'all aren't getting bored. But don't worry, the story will get interesting now. :)
