My Heart Will Go On

Chapter 2

It was a new day. I woke up, did my morning routine and left for the college. After reaching there, I went to my locker and took the books which I needed before making my way towards the class. When I entered the class, I did not see any of my friends there.

Soon, Ashley, Lena and Darla entered the class. “Where have you guys been?” I asked. “A college tour, you know!” spoke Lena. I huffed and said, “Without me?” Three of them laughed at my remark and which made a pout automatically appear at my face. Moments later, the bell rang. Lena went back to her class and we three took our respective seats, with Darla sitting in front of Ashley and me.

Soon the professor entered the class and began teaching. After two continuous lectures, it was time for recess. We went to the canteen to munch on the snacks. We all took our seat and started babbling and eating. There I saw two boys of my class. I tried to initiate a conversation with them, but they were bashful. My friends started laughing at this, which made me laugh too.

When we came back to our class, we saw a boy sitting near our seat. We went there and talked to him. His name was Ethan. He was a tall and skinny guy, not much skinny though. Honestly, he looked like a complete nerd, but you know it’s said, never judge a book by its cover. After a moment of chit-chatting, the bell rang. We went to our respective seats right before the professor came.
After two hours of boring lectures, we were dismissed. While walking out of the campus, we tried to get to know each other a little better.

Days passed by and our friendship grew stronger. One day after dismissal, Ash, Darla and I went to the library. We needed a book to study, well I know this is a little out of place for the ones who eagerly waits for lectures to finish so that they can go back to their homes as soon as possible but, this time we were determined to study. I could not find the book which I needed and then I noticed a guy of my class, Felix. Felix too was a tall guy. He wore spectacles and had an attractive personality.

Seeing him there, I thought to approach him. “I was not able to find this book, can you help me find it?” I asked. “Alright, hang on”, he replied. After few moments, he came back with the book and I thanked him. After that Ash, Darla and I got our books issued and went out.

We found Lena outside the library. “Oh wow! You all even started studying, huh? At least you should have asked me too.” she spoke with a pout. “Get lost! I won’t talk to anyone of you.” Lena spoke. “It's your wish, Babygirl.” commented Ashley. Darla and I laughed at her remark. “We searched for you but, you were nowhere to be found. Ashley even called you. Did you check your phone?” said Darla.

Lena hurriedly took out her phone and saw 2 missed calls from Ash. “Now what do you say?” Ashley spoke crossing her arms in front of her chest and raising an eyebrow. Lena made an oops face and looked everywhere but us. “Okay okay enough. Now let’s go home, shall we?” I finally spoke. Then the four of us went back home.

It was quite a tiring day. After getting freshen up, I opened my college group chat and saw everyone chatting. I too chatted for some time and then had my lunch. As soon as I finished my lunch, I received a call from Ash. “Ayo babe! What’s up?” She said being an enthusiastic person she is. “Nothing special. What about you?”, I replied. She said, “Nothing bro, just got back home. By the way Rose, I have something to tell you”. She sounded excited which got me intrigued. So, I asked her what is it and she said, “There’s a dance academy near our college, and I'm getting admitted into it, I'm so excited about it!”

Dancing is her hobby. She has always been passionate and excited about it. I replied to her, “That’s great bro! Congrats!”. “Thank you, thank you!”, she chirped. After an hour of talking, we cut the call and I went back to my schedule. I was happy for her and wished for a happy experience in her dance academy.
