Aron’s POV:

I was at a bar with 2 of my college friends. “Aron! Have some drink!” one of my friends handed me the drink. The music was so loud that we couldn’t hear each other. “Thanks, man.” I chugged it in a go. “Aron isn’t she, Rosabella?” the other one spoke. I turned my head in the direction he was pointing to, and my eyes widened to see her here and that too in a drunken state.

“Uh, yeah.” “Woah man, you’ve got an opportunity to talk to her, don’t waste it.” one of them spoke. “Do you think she is in the condition to talk to anyone?” the other one commented. ‘How long she has been here?’ I was about to stand up when I saw Rey approaching her. ‘Rey? What is he doing here?’

He picked her up in a bridal style and took her somewhere. I felt hurt to see it in front of my eyes. “Isn’t that Rey?” “Yeah, what is he doing here?” “Uh guys, I need to use the restroom.” “Going to restroom or going to watch them?” one of them spoke and smirked. “Whatever you think.” I stood up and followed them.

Rey took her to the balcony and put her on the couch. I stood near them and
eavesdropped on their conversation. ‘I know it’s not good still I'm doing it.’ I
heard their conversation, and my eyes widened when she confessed, ‘She loves
him? They both were together?’

I was hurt to see them together, but what hurt me more was when she gave him a forehead kiss. I immediately diverted my eyes and left that place.
“I’m going home.” I told my friends. “Why so soon?” “Just like that.” I grabbed my jacket and made my way out. I decided to have a detailed conversation with Rey regarding this.

Rey’s POV:

She blacked out in my arms. I picked her up and took her to my car. I struggled to open the door but managed to do so. I put her inside and buckled up her seatbelt.

I made my way to my seat, opened the door, and sat inside. After buckling up the seatbelt, I drove away. I glanced at her after every few minutes. Not going to lie, she looked cute in a drunken state. I chuckled at the thought.

Minutes later, I arrived at her house and took her inside. I rang the doorbell and was greeted by her mom. “What
happened?” She looked utterly confused and surprised. “May I come in? I'll explain everything.” She took me inside and to her room. I placed her on the bed and covered her body with the duvet.

We then went downstairs. “What happened to her?” “Uh, she was drunk.” “What! But why?” “She only knows the reason.” “I’ll teach her a lesson when she wakes up.” She spoke angrily. “Don’t be too harsh on her.” “Hmm. By the way, what’s up with you and Rose? She told me everything a week ago. That evening she happened to meet you and she was a mess when she returned home.” She spoke sternly. I'm dead meat now.

I sighed, “I’m sorry. It's all my fault. I raised her expectations way too high. I
shouldn’t have done anything.” “Look I don’t know what exactly had happened
between you both, but Rey one thing is for sure, I could see it in your eyes, the
love for her, where did it disappear?” “I don’t know, maybe what you saw was not love...”

She released a sigh, “Well, I don’t know about your love, but my daughter’s love for you is genuine. I could see the pain in her eyes that evening.” I looked down at my feet, I didn’t know what to say. “Aren’t you angry at me?” I asked fearfully. “Of course I was, even though I am, but it’s both of your matter, and problems arise in all relationships, we can’t blame anyone fully. Time and situation are to be blamed, not the people.” So intellectual, and there’s her daughter, completely childish.

“Thank you, Rey for bringing her home safely.” “No problem. I'll go now.” She
nodded and I left the house. Once I was out, I released the breath which I was
holding. “That was a close call.” I went to my car and drove to my house.
