Kaoru and Cats

I honestly don't know why I feel lonely. I mean it was just me and Tuna before. Maybe he doesn't want me to to step in. I hope we become friends. I mean it's just one month of me and Kaoru. I mean four weeks of just him and me. It's not like we're going to become enemies.

Tuna woke up and climbed on me. she started nibbling on my fingers. Hehe it tickles. I move my fingers and she jumps for them. Hehe I go to my room and grab her cat toy teaser thingy. She loves it. I have her running in circles and then she gets bored. Huh? I know what would get her going. I go and grab her laser pointer.

I shine the red dot and it immediately grabs her attention. I couldn't help but laugh. I was so distracted I didn't even see Kaoru come out until Tama joined in. The two of them just chased the red dot. It wasn't until then that I noticed Kaoru was just watching.

Reika: Kaoru do you wanna try?

Kaoru: ...yeah

He takes the laser pointer from me and makes the cats chase after it. I can't help but laugh. I grab my camera and snap some photos. This is going on my blog most definitely!

Kaoru: Why do you keep taking photos?

Reika: I have a bold...let's just say Tuna is all over it!

He didn't seem to interested after that. He went back to playing with the cats. I feel so content right now. It's like my life is complete. I don't know why I feel whole. I'm really not. I mean I'm not married, I don't even have a boyfriend. I mean I get hit on but I've never been interested. I mean I love my job. I couldn't give up my job for a guy. I had a few guys like that. Let's just say I'm staying single for a while. Oh its about lunchtime! I jumped up so fast I nearly scared Kaoru out of his skin.

Kaoru: ...don't do that...

Reika: Sorry I gotta make lunch.

So off I go to make us lunch. It doesn't take me long the tofu cooked very nicely. I mean I'm not the best cook in the world but I do know how to cook. It's just I'm not the best of the best. I won't burn anything so I'm a good cook. Yeah my mom definitely helped me. I finished cooking and set the table.

Reika: Kaoru lunch is done.

I didn't even get to turn around he was already there. So I sat and ate. I got stuck watching him eat. I mean I was eating too but I guess I wanted to know what he thought of it. He caught me looking at him so he stopped eating and looked back at me.

Kaoru: What?

Reika: Nothing I'm just wondering if it tastes good.

He just went back to eating. He ignored me. Well I guess I will finish eating. However Kaoru beat me to it. He ate faster than he did for breakfast. Does Kaoru like tofu? Maybe I mean I wouldn't know right now, right? This is going to be a long month. I finished eating and clean the dishes.

I go out into the living room and there I see Kaoru napping on the floor. Tama was sleeping on his stomach. I still look at his face, he was so peaceful, I just wanted to fall asleep too. I looked again and I see Tuna lying above his head. She's not on him just snuggled up next to him. She too was sleeping. So I guess my kitty accepted Kaoru before I could get a chance to.

Kaoru: You like watching people sleep...

I nearly jumped out of my skin. I also felt my face blush. That's so not what I was expecting. Scared the life out of me.

Reika: N-no my cat was sleeping with you. I thought it was weird.

He look down where Tuna wss sleeping and smiled.

Kaoru: She is cute...

...he did not just call my cat cute. That's not cute at all. My cat falls asleep with me! Not Kaoru and all he says about it is she's cute! I bet he wouldn't call it cute if Tama slept on me what he? This isn't cute at all.

Kaoru: ...pfft your making faces.

He laughed at me. Smile teeth and everything. I don't understand him. Maybe that's why I'm so interested in Kaoru, he always surprises me. I mean out of everyone in the office, he's the one I want to know more about. Probably because he keeps to himself and he so quiet. Ugh I can't think like this. I sit down and clicked on the TV. Too Cute was on. As if on cue, Tuna jumped up, climbed on me, and we watch the show together.
