Losing Sight of Things

***********************NOT APART OF THE STORY LINE*************************************

I quietly was typing away on my computer. I was actually writing my opinion on a project I'm working on with Kaoru. I honestly didn't see him come up to my desk until he cleared his throat.

Kaoru: We have an interview...

Reika: Oh yeah right! Um do we need to hop on the train it is a ways away.

Kaoru: ...rented a car

Reika: Oh okay! That works too!

I followed Kaoru and slide in the passengers seat. I watched as Kaoru pulled out of the parking lot.

Reika: Wow this is so cool I haven't been in a car since well forever!

Kaoru: ...

He smiled at me. I bet he never been in a car. He probably just learned how to drive and then that's it.

Reika: So tonight I was thinking we could have something simple to go with tofu...

Kaoru: Sounds good to me.

I swear he's such a weirdo why would he be so happy with simple things. I feel so bad I can't cook complex things. I just can't...I'm not perfect at everything!

Reika: So how long is it going to take us to get there?

Kaoru: I'm not sure.

I let out a sigh. Kaoru made a turn and I watched a car coming for us but it didn't stop and it hit us. I don't remember the impact just the car coming dangerously close. It wasn't until things stopped that I regained my consciousness.

Kaoru: Reika are you...okay

His voice filled with worry. I opened my eyes and my vision had a lot of those color figure things.

Reika: Yeah just a little shaken up.

He grabbed my hand and I noticed that my vision started to blurr. What is going on? This never happened to me before. I squeezed Kaoru's hand and we stayed like that until we heard the sirens.

I honestly don't know what happened from hearing people talk to me and ask questions to the tests at the hospital. All I was worried about was Kaoru and if I would see him again because my vision was really blurry... I couldn't tell what was what.

???: Reika I heard what happened are you okay?

I couldn't tell who was talking to me but who ever it was sounds familiar. Just then the door opened.

???: Ms. Sasaki your test results came back. Everything seems fine but we noticed your not responding with your vision so we looked into that and we realized that you have vitreous hemorrhage.

Reika: What? Does that mean I'm going to go blind?

Doctor: No it's only temporary and we will proscribe you pills to help the process. This typically happens to those in car accidents.

Reika: Okay...thank you.

Doctor: Now do you have someone to help take care of you. We don't want you alone.

Reika: Yes I have someone...

Doctor: Okay well we would like to contact them so can you think of the persons number?

Reika: No not right now...

I didn't know the person who was with me...if it's a coworker I don't want them to know about my or Kaoru's relationship.
