The Moment of Truth

Kaoru: ...

He stays quiet for a moment. Come on Kaoru why do you choose now to be absolutely silent, it's killing me here. Looking at his face he looks back at me and smiled.

Kaoru: I know!

...my heart skipped a beat...he knew? When did I tell him... I'm racking my brains here...when did I tell him that I loved him...oh right as my 'last words' I feel my face go red again.

Reika: I-I just wanted to get it out...so how do you feel?

((A/N: Here's how Reika feels after asking that using emojis...😨😰😱)

Kaoru: ...

He grabs my shoulders and peers into my face. The look he's giving my makes my heart just beat out of my chest. Kaoru s-stop you don't know what you're doing to me here... He leans in really close...I close my eyes and the moment he placed on mine...I felt so close to him. His kiss was so soft and gentle just like he was. It was making me weak yet strong. It seemed like it was forever. When he pulled away I felt almost satisfied. I completely understand what was going on here. He couldn't really express how he felt with words so he showed me.

Reika: That's why I love you!

I hugged him and absorbed his warmth as I knew now that he was mine...I was his! I feel so happy tears fell down my face. He must have felt them because he pulled me away. He grabbed my cheeks with his hand very softly. With his thumb he wipes them away.

Kaoru: Let's go home...

Reika: Yeah so we can get started on that article!

He shook his head no.

Kaoru: Tomorrow

Reika: Right I forgot a lot has happened today! I just want this to be over...I don't really want to think about it just put the whole terrible situation behind us...but I know it would be better to remember those who lost their lives.

I was including Yuri in that too. She lost her life. From now on she's probably going to spend the rest of her life behind bars. I bet she probably died inside when he did...I did when he broke up with me...Kaoru saved me...brought me back to be in love again. I wanted to give that gift to him too. I know he has struggles and he may feel the need to protect me because of that. He saved my life and no one is going to tell me otherwise no one. We made it back to the cutest thing ever. Tama and Tuna cuddled and napped right next to each other. I smiled and looked at Kaoru.

Reika: Aww we can't keep them separated now can we?

Kaoru: ...nope

Unfortunately we have to when we go back but hey it's not like they can't have play dates! Then I can take see Kaoru and Tama. Looking away from the two sleeping cats I looked at Kaoru and he was dangling something in front of me.

Reika: What's this?

Kaoru: A spare key...

Reika: Whoa slow down there! We just got together!

Kaoru: I know how you are...

He's blushing and it's just so cute...but what is he talking about? Noticing my confusion he opened his mouth.

Kaoru: ...to check up on me...and Tama...

Oh yeah that is a good idea that would make me feel better! That way I know what he's eating and cook for him and hang out with him and Tama! I'm so happy! I can't wait to go home! But first I want to watch a movie with Kaoru!

Reika: Kaoru let's watch a comedy movie! I will make popcorn! You pop in the movie!

So off we went and when I came back we sat there and watch the movie. The whole time I was happy because Kaoru was playing with my hair and I just felt so complete. It's was like we are supposed to be together! He's mine now and I don't plan on letting him go!

Authors Note: YAY! They are a couple now! To celebrate I'm gonna post a one-shot I made for these two! I posted it on Tumblr but have not gotten a chance to post it here so it will be up in a few moments just gotta copy and paste it and tweak it a little to get it in the right set up as I used quotation marks for some reason so just give me a few moments. I will tell you that I'm almost done with part one of this story. I am thinking maybe the next chapter (no not the one-shot) will be the last one. I don't exactly know when part two will come out. All I can say is it will when the timing is perfect and it will most likely be around the time I add in that chapter. I'm thinking while you wait you could read my friends FanFiction RE: Start! By RaineAloisa it is also a OTBS fanfic. So far it's sooo good I just want to read more but I know she has a busy life so be patient with her. Also I was thinking of writing one-shots of Kaoru and Reika while you wait for part two. You guys can even request things! Like the one-shot I'm going to post is when Kaoru over works himself. Just please remember I'm a very innocent person...
