9: Secret (Chanyeol POV)

Oh I was right about Eunhye being different from any other girl I've met before. At the beginning when I met her... I was super quiet but now that I'm closer to her, soomin and joohyuk, I feel like I can be myself around them. They won't judge . And I like that... Just like how I was in Exo. They're starting to become... Family to me. When I saw Eunhye waiting patiently on the swing for me while trying to keep her hands warm... I started to feel.. Like I wanted to start to take care of her. She can't even take proper care of herself yet she still wants to care of others more than herself . It was just her. When I started hanging out with her, I started to see how big her heart was.. She cared for others way more than herself that she cared less about herself. So when I went up to give her the hot cocoa , she looked at me and punched me on my arm when I sat down on the swing. Oh and She's also got this wild side too. This side where she jokes around you but has the ability to make you smile. No matter what kind of day you have.

I drag her to my house. Man! The perks about being tall! Hahahahaha . We arrive at the house and Chansoo comes up to hug her and everything. I, of course, break them apart.

"This way," I say. I hook my arms around her shoulders again and drag her upstairs to my room.

We get to the room and she walks in awe of all the things in there. The pictures... The trophies from multiple sports I had played when I was younger.. The stuffed animals.

She laughs. "I didn't know you slept with these," she starts poking them .

"Yeah.. About that.."

"Don't worry. Secrets safe with me," she looks at me and winks.

She continues to tour the room. Then she starts pointing at something else. A baby picture of me

"Awwww!! You were so cute!! I just wanna pinch your cheeks... Chansoo kind of looks like you.. Now that I think about it."

I just shake my head. "Anyways.... I was going to show you something."

"Oh that's right!" She says.

I lead her to this piano in my room. She looks at me with big eyes.

"You play piano?" She asks

"Yeah, just a bit here and there."

She nods her head as if she has approval of me.

"Should I show you a song?" I ask

She nods her head in agreement, so I walk towards the piano. Eunhye follows after me. I sit on the seat and begin playing Yiruma's song "Maybe."

As I play I can feel her observe me and the keys I'm playing. I think she's in awe. I smile to myself but can't help feeling jittery (not in a boastful way) . She starts clapping when I finish the song. She couldn't stop smiling and laughing.

"Wow..... That was like amazing!" She gives me big thumbs up .

"Do you know how to play any instruments?" I ask her

"Mmmmmm... Yeah." She replies

"What can you play?"

"Guitar... Ukulele... The piano and cello." She shy admits.

My eyes enlarge. "What?! For how long??"

"Well... For guitar it's been like.. Maybe 3-4 years.. Ukulele is really is to play though. So it's like a mini guitar. I've played the piano for about like 7 years ish, and I recently started learning cello last year."

"Woah.... You should play a song for me on the piano." I ask her

She just shrugs her shoulders at me .

"Pleaseeeee..." I plead her. And trying making a pouty face. I move over and start patting the seat next to me .

"Okay okay. But I'm only doing this because you keep making that weird face," she mutters and smiles .

She starts playing twinkle twinkle little star and says she's done. I look at her confused. "That's it?"

"Hahaha I'm kidding. You should've seen you're face when you looked at me and said that." She says

Then she starts playing a beautiful song. Her fingers gracefully glide over the keys.

"What's the name of the song?" I ask her.

"Serenade in Cm by F.Schubert," she replies still playing the song.

I close my eyes and absorb in the music. "You've left me speechless,"

She stops playing and flicks my head.

"Owwww ? What was that for?" I chuckle .

"You make it seem like I'm a professional ... Which I'm not even close to being ." She replies.

I shrug my shoulders. "Fine... It sounds really good,"

She turns back to the piano again.

"Should we play a duet?"

She looks at me when I say that.

"Mmmmmm... Okay sure. Teach me what to play." She agrees

"Okay ... So the song is from a movie called 'secret.' This guy and girl play this duet together... It's like legit. And I've learned both the parts! So this is your part..." I play her part. She observes what I do and nods.

"Okay... So like this?" She plays it but makes some mistakes.

"Umm wait. Here let me help you." I arrange her fingers to the place it's suppose to be then play it again for her to listen and observe.

"Ohhhh okay. Like this ?" She plays it again but plays the wrong notes.

Before I realize it, I put my hand on top of hers. "Like this," I say and I help her play the right notes.

"Ahhhh... I see," she says quietly.

"But... Yeah.." I reply taking my hands off from hers. So after a while of her playing over her part, I play my part, and we finally put the piece together.

"Fun huh?"

"Yeah! It was actually pretty fun."

Eunhye and I finally leave the house to drop her off at her house.

"Have you ever seen the movie 'Secret'?" I ask

"I don't think I have...." She replies

"What? No way.... Then one day I'll invite you over and we'll watch it because it's a classic!"

She nods her head, "sounds good! I'm excited to see it and since we played a piece from it ... I wanna see how they play it."

We finally arrive at her house.

"Okay, well I'll see you at school then."

"Yeah. Thanks for the hot cocoa earlier! It was refreshing and warm. And also thanks for teaching me that new piece! It was really fun and I kinda like it," Eunhye says

"Anytime! That's what friends are for" I reply

She starts heading to the door, and we both wave at each other until she finally enters the house.
