15: Closer (Chanyeol POV)

When Eunhye had taken me to meet her grandma, I couldn't help but feel touched. She introduced me to her grandma that had recently passed away.

"I wish I would've gotten to introduce him to you earlier grandma.. He's a wonderful friend. And no one can ever replace him." She says.

"Can I say something too?" I ask Eunhye.

"Yeah!" She quickly replies

"I'm so happy to have met your wonderful granddaughter. She has really changed my life. To be eunhye's friend has really been an honor.. And such a blessing. Her personality is really bubbly and I'm sure you know that very well. Eunhye is hanging in there, I'll make sure to feed her well, keep her safe so that she doesn't get hurt, keep her smiling and laughing even through unbearable times and to wipe her tears. I'll also make sure to be here for her no matter what happens." I say.

After saying that, I look at Eunhye with tears flowing down her cheeks and a bright smile.

I gently wipe away her tears .

After meeting Eunhye's grandma, Eunhye grabs ahold of my sleeve again and starts to lead me. I don't say anything though because even if I do, she won't tell me where we're going.

We walk further down the gravel road and until we reach a town. It's actually not that far from the cemetery.. When we finally enter the town, we both end up in front of a restaurant . With no hesitation at all, she pulls me into the restaurant and sets us down at a table.

We wait until Ahjumma arrives to our table with water for Eunhye and I.

I take a sip.

"Omo. You guys are such a cute couple!" She says.

I literally almost choke on my water. Eunhye looks at me and starts laughing. I'm curious to what Eunhye's gonna say..

Eunhye waves her hands at the lady while laughing.

"We're actually just friends.. But thank you!"

"I'm so sorry! I apologize! I just thought you guys looked good together.." The lady tells Eunhye and I.

"No it's okay!" Eunhye smiles back that the lady,

Not sure why I had felt this way.. But I felt kinda .. Sad when Eunhye had told the lady we were friends.. Um....

"Anyways... What would you two like?" She asks breaking my train of thought.

Eunhye ordered Jamangmyeon while I ordered the yummy Korean marinated beef dish Bulgogi. We also got a side of dumplings and kimchi.

The lady came back with all our food. Smells great!

"Wow! This looks amazing. Thank you!" Eunhye thanks the lady.

"Thank you," I also manage to add before the lady disappeared.

"Eat lots! My treat!" Eunhye winks at me.

"That was really good," I tell Eunhye patting my stomach.

"Yeah it was," she replies.

We continue walking on the gravel road until we reach the bus. It's starting to get dark. I look at my watch . 6:00 pm. By the time we get home, it'll be dark and cold since it's the winter time. Eunhye enters the bus first and sits near the window while I'm on the outside. A few minutes of silence pass... So I ask her a question . A risky kind of question that's been on my mind since we ate.

"So.. Umm.. How did you feel when the lady said that... That we were a cute couple..." I stuttered. I held both of my hands together because I was nervous.

No answer.. Huh? I look at Eunhye and she's fast asleep with her head swaying towards the window. I smile to myself. I grab her head... And put her head on top of my shoulders.

"Thank you Eunhye," I say as I sweep her hair out of her face.
