16: Who's that... ? (Eunhye POV)

I'm feeling great today! When I arrive to homeroom, I spot Chanyeol sitting in his seat reading. Quietly, I walk over to my seat on the other side of the room and pull out my textbooks and everything. When I do so, I look at Chanyeol and he's looking at me too. We both wave at each other. I can't help but smile back at him.

(Bell rings)

I look towards the hallway and spot our homeroom teacher with a girl behind him... When he enters the room, I notice Chanyeol perk up in the corner of my peripheral vision. I glance at him quickly, and he seems flustered...

"Good morning class! We have a new transfer student. Please welcome Shin hye mi." Mr. Lee says.

The girl bows and introduces herself.

"Hi! My name is Shin hyemi. Please take good care of me."

The class claps their hands while some boys whistle.

"You can take the seat right next to Chanyeol. The guy sitting on the far left side by the door." Mr. Lee tells the new transfer student. I can't help but feel a pang of jealousy and hurt for a split second rush inside me. One, because when Chanyeol saw the girl, he was flustered. And two... Because they're talking right now...

The bell ring finally rings and its lunch time. finally.. I slowly get up from my seat and put the textbooks and notebooks back in my back pack. During homeroom this morning, I couldn't help but sneak in peeks at the new girl and Chanyeol. They both giggled and smiled at each other.. I sigh. Why am I feeling like this... And did they know each other before??

"Hey," I hear someone's voice call out from beside me. I look up and it's Chanyeol. He seems like he's in a good mood.. But I push my previous feelings aside and return to my original self.

"Hi!" I smile back. I look around the classroom.. The girls not with him.
"Ready?" He asks me.

"Yeah," I reply.

Chanyeol and I walk side by side down to the lunch room. Like always, it's loud and noisy in there, but we make our way to our table.

"Hey guys!" I say as I wave to Soomin and Joohyuk.

"Ready to grab our food?" Soomin asks us. I nod my head and all four of us make our way to the lunch line. After we get our food, we all walk back to the table and sit down.

"So... I was thinking... Maybe we can go and-" before Soomin could finish her sentence, someone interrupts her.

"Umm.. Hi. Can I sit with you guys?"

We all turn to see who it is. Shin hyemi.

"Um... Sure!" Soomin quickly replies.

"Oh okay thanks!" She smiles. I smile back at her. At least she seems nice.

She walks behind me and decides to squeeze in this little spot between Chanyeol and I because we were sitting next to each other. She whispers something to Chanyeola me he nods his head quickly.

"Anyways..." Soomin says again. "I was thinking about going Ice Skating tonight. We haven't had enough time to spend together what do you guys think ??" She asks us.

"Yeah!" I quickly agree.

The guys just nod their heads in a greenest.

"Did you wanna come to?" Soomin asks Hyemi.

"Yeah if that's fine with you guys,"

"Of course! But sorry let me introduce you to us. I'm Soomin." She pulls out her hands so that Hyemi and her could shake hands.

Hyemi then looks at Joohyuk. He clears his throws and also pulls out his hands. "Nam Joohyuk,"

It's now my turn.

"Kang Eunhye," I smile at her. Maybe being friends with her wont be that bad.

She smiles at all three of us.

"Shin Hyemi," she says. "Nice to meet you guys!"

"Oh.. Chanyeol, are you gonna introduce yourself?" Joohyuk asks him.

"I've actually known Hyemi for a long time.. She's one of my childhood friends and she's been with me and Exo for a while now." He says.

That's why they seem kind of close...

"Yeah, we're best friends," Hyemi says as she smiles at Chanyeol.

Those words echoed in my head the whole lunch period as I sat and ate to myself while Chanyeol and Hyemi were talking.
