A few minutes later
Peter calls a cab and heads to Columbia University is greeted by Eddie Brock Jr who was waiting outside of the science center
"Well you look well" said Peter
"Well I've been living my life since that day for about a year but that's not important but what is important is inside the building" said Eddie and so the two enter the science center and Peter is amazed by all the tech the school has but Peter ignores all of that and walks by the nearby lockers to which Eddie opens one of them and pulls out of vial of what appears to be black liquid
"What is this stuff?" Asked Peter
"Something our dad's were experimenting on back when they worked at Oscorp, our inheritance if you will, this is the symbiote, a type of alien life form that crash landed here years ago, our dad's were tasked with looking into it but unfortunately most of it has been destroyed and this is possibly what's left" said Eddie
"I'm guessing it got brought here when Oscorp folded" said Peter
"Pretty much and now I intend to finish where they left off" said Eddie but then Peter's spider sense goes off and the wall explodes catching the two off guard as armed men storm the building
"Acquire the target and only the target" said the leader they break open the locker only to see nothing
"The target is missing" said one of the armed men but they see that Eddie is holding the vial
"Sorry to tell you this kid but I'm going to need that" said the armed man and then he hits Eddie with the butt of the gun and takes the vial
"Target secured" said the armed man and then he left with the rest of them
"No I promised Dr Connors that nothing will happen, Peter you need to get up" said Eddie as he saw Peter trying to get up
"They took the symbiote" said Peter
"If the school finds out what happened, I'm dead" said Eddie
"Stay here, I'll get help" said Peter who then ran away
"Alright" said Eddie as he ran to a nearby phone booth as Peter suited up as Spider-Man once again and went after the armed men
"What do these guys want with the symbiote?" Spider-Man asked himself as he swung through the city following them while getting shot at
"Ok so that's how it going to be" Spider-Man said with an annoyed tone in his voice as she shot a web at there transport leaping through the window
"Hey how's it going?" Spider-Man joked before proceeding to fight the armed men before grabbing one of them
"Alright, I'm going to ask you one thing, who do you work for and why do they need what's in that vial" said Spider-Man
"Like I'm going to tell you wannabe Spider-Man" said The guy
"I'm not going to ask again" said Spider-Man but while he was talking to they guy, another armed man snuck up behind him and smashed the case containing the vial on him shattering the vial and causing the symbiote to land on his suit as the police arrived
"Of course Eddie called the cops" said Spider-Man.
As the armed men are being carried away, Peter and Eddie while Eddie is distraught that the symbiote had possibly been destroyed
"I'm so dead" said Eddie
"Look Eddie, I'm sure that Dr Connors will understand" said Peter
"Let's hope so” said Eddie
"Yeah look I'm sorry about your project but I got to head out, there's something I need to do so I'll get in contact with you later" said Peter
“I'll keep in touch” said Eddie and then Peter left unaware that a tiny symbiote tendril was crawling up his neck.
