Mangoo and I walked quickly out of the building, we didn't stop until we had reached a fountain about a mile away from the council building.

"You just agreed to silence Nora!" I hissed.

"Calm your tits!"

"Don't tell me to calm down! She's our friend!"

"I won't kill her."

"You just agreed to-"

"No, I didn't. For someone in charge of a djinn council, the man does not know how to make good solid verbal contracts. It was very sloppy."

"What?"

"He didn't set a time, he only said first. First could be in a hundred years."

"Thats not much of one, and we do need to give them information or the war might catch our people unaware."

"Also, you are in no way bound by this."

"Huh?"

"The wording on my part in no way includes you, as long as I do not hear or tell the information I do not have to report it."

"You know this is where the stereotypes come from?" I drawled.

"Yes. Now is there anything you want to do while we're here? I think we both need to chill on the energy use for a bit."

"Anything new around here?" I asked, twenty years was a pretty big gap.

"Not much that we could do together, things have been pretty segregated. Why do you think i've been in the human pocket? The social separation has been getting worse."

"But... It was getting better last time I was here..." Someone had just pulled the plug on my mood, and here I had been bragging about our society to Nora. We are no better than they are.

"We appointed a new prime minister and he's been... aggressive..."

"Since when do we have a prime minister? Why did we just talk to the council then?"

"They're like a court now, they just provide official rulings."

"Things have really changed..."

"Yeah, not for the better either. Why do you think I was in the human pocket to begin with?"

"Do I still have my house here? Do you still have yours?" I asked, remembering that it was a real possibility that I was now technically homeless.

"Yeah, your house was off the grid. They decided not to confiscate that section of land because your whereabouts were unknown. My plot of land was taken."

"Why are they taking land? Its not like there's a shortage..."

"They're trying to eliminate threats to their new regime." Mangoo spat.

"You're a threat?"

"You know me! I'm horrible with change and orders!"

I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose, the only thing that gave away my true feelings was the huge grin on my face.

"Same old Mango."

"Shut up Fuzz."

"Take us back to the girls, fruitcake."

"Keep up the attitude and I will leave you here."

"I'll go by myself then."

"Nope. You're not traveling for a very long time. You're lucky i'm not sending you back to school."

"Thanks mother."

"OHMYGOD! I KNOW YOU! FRITZ YOU'RE ALIVE!" A high pitched female voice shrieked. Myrtle, just the person I did not want to see.

"GO!" I hissed to Mangoo, who understood the urgency having heard the squeal for himself.

Seconds later we were back in Mangoo's human house, panting heavily.

"You're back!" Liana squealed.

"Can we not squeal?" Mangoo groaned.

"What happened?"

"Fritz's entourage found him."

"His what?" Nora asked. I covered my eyes with my hand.

"Nothing important..." I said, "Well, actually there were important events but that was not one."

"Okay..." Liana and Nora said.

"Also, say goodbye to uncle Mangoo!" Mangoo said.

"Uncle Mangoo?" I drawled, "Thats new. New and creepy don't ever use that again."

"Goodbye?" Nora asked.

"Yep, I made a deal with the twats and I cannot let you give me information or i'll have to kill you."

"Uh?" She said.

"Yeah..." I said, "don't say anything related to your... experience... We were forced to mention you and the condition that they didn't hunt you down and kill you was that Mangoo had to gather information and kill you when you had given him information."

"And on that note, i'm peelin out. Peace!" Mangoo said and with a pat on Nora's shoulder he was gone.
