Enid's stomach churned with anticipation. She couldn't stop thinking about what sort of dance Wednesday would engage with with Enid. Oh god, would she even be able to handle dancing with Wednesday? She had seen Wednesday dancing at Rave'N. She danced passionately and unconventionally. Enid herself was more of a K-pop dancer.

And the thought of being close together, almost face to face, bodies undulating-

Enid buried her face in her hands.

"Are you alright, Enid?" Wednesday inquired and Enid shook her head.

"I'm fine," she squeaked out.

"You are a horrible liar, Enid." Wednesday graciously decided not to torment Enid any further even if it did make her chest feel pleasantly warm to see Enid's wonderful expressions. They were all so darling, all of them. Since when had Wednesday grown so attached to seeing someone else's emotions? She normally hated emotion and found them weak and hindering. Annoying to see others express them.

On Enid, however....they were adorable. Well placed and well suited for her appealing facial structure.

Wednesday furrowed her brows minutely to herself. She deduced she was taking this fake dating thing too seriously. There was no need for her thoughts to become this generous. Unfortunately, distancing herself from their farce could not be achieved right now.

She had won the challenges and the right to parade her relationship with Enid around.

They had to go deeper into this facade they were playing and Wednesday was eager to commit to it.

"Enid, now that we are allowed to officially be together, I propose we become even more unbearable in our schemes. We must let them know how proud we are of winning."

"I don't know..." Enid rubbed her arm.

"Half your family supports us. That's more than we could have hoped for. Besides, I see nothing wrong with holding hands in front of them."

"Oh!" Enid suddenly said, face flushing red once more.

Wednesday tilted her head curiously to the side. What had Enid been thinking of. "Were you assuming other things?"

"Nope. Not at all. Haha," Enid began laughing awkwardly and held out her hand for Wednesday to hold. Wednesday slipped her hand into Enid's, smiling privately to herself.

Not only was Enid a bad liar, but she was becoming so obvious too. Deciding to be a bit mischievous, Wednesday pressed a kiss to Enid's cheek, sending the girl's spine shooting ramrod straight.

They walked down the stairs together. It was quiet in the morning for once. The living room was still a mess from last night and only the scrape of forks on plates could be heard coming from the dining room. This time the table was split in two. Everyone who supported Enid and Wednesday was sat on one side, eyeing the opposition.

Space had been crammed in for Enid and Wednesday by Devin. That side of the table was feeling a bit cramped. Enid felt like smiling. Her family did love her somewhat. She felt Wednesday squeeze her hand in reassurance. The movement made everyone look over at their conjoined hands. Abraham growled low in his throat.

"Unnatural," Enid heard him mutter under his breath.

"I suppose a toast is in order," Esther began somberly and disingenuously as she raised a glass in the air as Enid and Wednesday sat down. "You bested and destroyed the Sinclair pack challenge, granting you the right to have Enid's hand." She glared at Wednesday. "I hope you're happy."
