Enid had to help her mother onto the living room couch because she was so faint she couldn't walk. The pack gathered around her, watching in concern.

"What did Wednesday do to her now?" Abraham bit out, one second or one wrong word away from snapping Wednesday's neck.

"Nothing," Enid said. "Mom just didn't take the news well."

"What news?" he rounded on her, trying to intimidate the answers out of her, but she wasn't scared of him. He had whimpered like a pup under her claws. That was something she'd never forget.

"That Wednesday and I got eloped," Enid said smugly.

Fury burned through Abraham's eyes. "Are you fucking serious? Just how much stupider can you get?" He shook his head while his hands turned into fists. "That's it- I'm throwing her out of the house like I should have done so from the start."

Enid pressed a hand to his chest, pushing him back hard enough that he stumbled and almost fell. "You don't get to tell me what to do anymore," she bit out. "This wolf has claws and she knows how to use them." She flexed her claws at him and he gulped at the sight of them, remembering how well they'd shredded his thick wolf hide like paper.

"Oh shit, fight fight fight!" Chris began to chant and Bartholomew smacked him upside the head to shut him up but the damage was done. Abraham's ego wouldn't let him back down.

"Me and you outside, right now," Abraham said.

"What, can't wait to lose a second time?" Enid barked out, feeling her canines grow.

Wednesday came up to Enid, looping an arm around Enid's waist. "While I would love to see you tear him apart, cara mia, we have plans for today."

Enid relaxed a bit, but kept her eyes trained on Abraham. "What plans?"

"I'll take both of you on, Addams!" Abraham shot out and Murray had to come up and clap a hand to Abraham's shoulder.

"Look after your mother; I'll speak with them," he said in a low voice.

Abraham shrugged the hand off. "You don't get to tell me what to do."

"Abraham," Esther groaned out, finally coming to some of her senses. "Bring me some water." She sounded weak. Abraham could not disobey her and with an unhappy snarl headed to the kitchen to slam cabinets open and shut as he looked for a glass.

Esther sat up with a bit more strength on the couches. "I can't believe you've done this, Enid." For once she seemed at a true loss for words.

Enid thinned her lips. She felt bad. She never thought her mother would take it this hard. Wednesday's hold around Enid's waist tightened.

"We should go. It's probably best for us to leave the house a bit," she said lowly.

"Can I come with you guys?" Devin piped up.

"Gross, leave them alone," Bartholomew wrinkled up his nose.

"Yea, they probably want to celebrate, as a couple," Chris laughed and Enid flushed at his insinuation.

Murray looked at Wednesday and Enid. "You've surprised me," he said.

"What can I say, dad," Enid said, reaching out to hold Wednesday's hand with the ring on it. "Wednesday is a romantic at heart."

"At all hearts," Wednesday corrected. Enid flashed her a look.

"You have more than one heart?"

"They're not all mine. I'm borrowing them. For science."
