Krystal had always been a strong-willed person, but for the past three years, she had managed to keep her depression at bay. After experiencing a traumatic breakup with her boyfriend, Kye, she had sunk into a deep pit of despair. It took her a long time to crawl out of the hole she had dug for herself, but eventually, with the help of therapy and antidepressants, she managed to move on.

She had even started to enroll again to continue her study in Business and Fine Arts all at the same time. Krystal was happy, she had even managed to graduate from college with flying colors. Life was good.

Krystal had always been determined to finish her studies despite the challenges that life had thrown her way. She believed that education was key to achieving her dreams, and she was willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen.

Enrolling in two courses at the same time was not an easy task, but Krystal was up for the challenge. She managed her time wisely, dividing her attention equally between her courses. She would attend her business classes during the day and her fine arts classes in the evenings.

It was not an easy journey, and there were moments when she felt like giving up. But Krystal persevered, knowing that her hard work would pay off in the end. She spent countless hours studying at night, and she made sure to stay on top of her coursework.

Her studies became a source of comfort and a way to distract herself from teh pain of losing Kye. Whenever she felt overwhelmed by her emotions, she would immerse herself in her studies, and the intense coursework kept her focused and motivated.

Finally, the day came when Krystal received her diploma. She had managed to graduate from both courses with flying colors, and her family was immensely proud of her. She had proved that nothing was impossible if she set her mind to it.

With her diplomas in hand, Krystal was ready to take on the world. She desperately wanted a job in a well-known company, using her business skills to climb up the corporate ladder. Meanwhile, her passion for art continued to grow, and she even continued selling her artworks on the side.

Life was good for Krystal. She has nearly accomplished her goals, and she was surrounded by people who loved and supported her. And although there were still challenges to face, Krystal knew that she could overcome them with her determination and perseverance.

But then, on graduation day, something happened that set her back. During the ceremony, she thought she received a text from me making her think that I have a surprise for her but I didn't. She also saw a figure in the crowd that looked like Kye.

After the ceremony, I had found her looking disoriented and lost. She then started running off the school stadium after realizing what happened was all in her mind.

I had been Tala's rock during her tough times with Kye, and I knew just how much he had hurt her, with his decision. Sensing that something was wrong, I immediately followed her but I was lost, until I contacted Kyle about the situation and told me where she might be.

And there she was, crying and sobbing in their secret spot in which Krystal hadn't told me about.

Furious of her, storming out like that I confronted her. She was in so much pain, so even though I was mad at her, I brushed it off and stayed with her.

She then informed me about her hallucination, which made me worried. As I sat there in silence, I listened patiently, not judging her or trying to offer any quick fixes. I knew that she needed a safe space to let out her emotions and work through her thoughts.

But I reminded her that she had come so far, that she had grown and learned from her past experiences. I encouraged her to reach out to her therapist again, to take the time she needed to heal.

She slowly began to take my words to heart. While it wasn't easy to face her old demons, she knew that she couldn't run away from them forever.

As I sat on my bed, I watched my best friend breakdown in front of me. Her sobs were loud, and she clutched her phone as if it was a lifeline.

"Tala, know that I will always be here for you, okay?" I said reminding her which made her look at me.

"I know." She replied as tears continued to flow down her face.

As I set aside the book I was reading, I embraced my dear friend who was overcome with tears. I understood her situation, and I was aware of the person she needed to talk to at the moment, but unfortunately, I was unable to make that connection for her. However, I remained beside her, providing the quiet comfort she required. She had always supported me during difficult times, and it was my turn now to be her rock.

As she cried, I listened to her talk about her feelings for Kye. She told me that she missed him and wanted to get back together with him. I could see that her thoughts were running wild, and she was struggling to make sense of them.

I let her cry for a while before I spoke. "You have to understand," I said softly. "He ended things with you for a reason, and you have to respect his decision. Even if you miss him, you have to give him space and focus on healing yourself."

She looked at me, her eyes red and puffy.
"He never said anything, he just left!" She said angrily.

"I love him! I love him so much it hurts!!!," she added with such a painful expression.

"I know, and I know I don't have any answer on why he left you like that but you have to take care of yourself!" I said. "And it's okay to love him. But you have to love yourself more. Remember all the times he told you to take good care of your health, to always sleep on time, to be thankful and to think happy thoughts, think how you felt during those moments. Are you doing it now? Do you think he'd be happy finding you like this?" I told her which made her think for a while.

She shook her head no, and I continued. "Then you have to move on. Take some time to focus on yourself, heal your wounds, and learn to love yourself again. Your happiness doesn't depend on him. You can't rely on someone else to make you happy. I know you know that!"

It took some time, but she eventually stopped crying. We spent the rest of the night talking, watching movies, and eating junk food. She laughed a few times, and even though it was just for a second, I could see her bright personality shine through.

As she left my room to go hers, she hugged me and whispered, "Thank you." I knew that she still had a lot of healing to do, but I was happy to have been there for her. I knew that I had helped her, even if it was just a little bit.

I also learned the importance of self-love and putting yourself first. My friend had lost herself in their breakup, and it was time for her to gain that part of herself back. I realized that it is essential to love oneself first.

After observing my friend's emotional breakdowns following her breakup, I realized the importance of prioritizing self-care. It became clear to me that loving oneself should always be the primary concern. Although I empathized with her struggle in letting go of Kye, I still believe that communication and closure are crucial for both parties to move on and fully heal from the attachment they had towards each other. It may not be an easy process, but it is the best course of action for their personal growth and future happiness.
