When the animals were done killing each other, Pakki turned back towards Castle Light.
The other divers didn't dare to approach him.
He looked back at his friends, noticing how Faust was wearing Ignition Union clothes instead of his black diver clothes.
Kevin approached Pakki, giving him a black eyepatch. "Here... I got this for you."
Pakki looked a bit surprised but gladly accepted it. "Thanks..." He turned back towards the divers as Klaris unlocked the chains on his hands.
Pakki put the eyepatch over his left eye which Nathan sliced. "...I'm leaving."
Klaris looked at him, arms crossed. "To where?"
Faust, too, crossed his arms in response. "To the surface."The group walked away from the Castle they had been in for so many years. Colt walked up to Pakki, handing him Gwen's sheathed katana. "Here..."
Pakki narrowed his eyes at him. "You should have it..."
Colt shook his head. "I don't have the skills to use it. You seemed... More efficient with it."
Pakki reluctantly took it. "Are you sure..?"
Colt only nodded.
Faust looked at Pakki. "We still have something we need to take care of... Here goes hoping you don't have arachnophobia."
Pakki sighed. "It's got something to do with spiders, doesn't it...?"
Kevin looked over the three of them. "You shouldn't... It's dangerous. Really dangerous."
Faust kept walking, hands in his pockets. "I'll do it. Look at this way. The Union's gonna owe me a favour."
Colt looked at Pakki. "It's actually got something to do with one spider... One big spider."Kevin walked in front of them, leading them. "There's a massive spider in a cave... It's called the deep widow. The union needs it's silk for a machine... And Faust just agreed to slaying it for us."
"WHAT-- Um, hello? Would you mind asking me next time...?!" Pakki exclaimed.
Faust shrugged. "Ehhh-, I could but... Where's the fun in that?"As they reached the cave, they all drew their weapons.
The battle was quite fast - the deep widow couldn't land a good hit on any of them as they surrounded it.
Kevin stood by the corpse of the spider. "Right... I'll spare you the hard part and get the silk myself. Just stay... Generally around here."
Colt and Pakki went outside, sitting on the edge of a cliff.
Pakki looked at Colt, a little concerned. "What... are you going to do now..?"
Colt grabbed a tiny rock, throwing it into the void. "I don't know... I have no idea what to do.. Maybe I should just stay..."
Pakki thought for a moment. "Don't... You can't give up just yet. You just.. Can't. I won't let you."
Colt kept his head low. "It just feels like... Like I serve no purpose. Like I should've been the one to die..."
"Your purpose is to be happy... Just as Gwen asked you to be." Pakki replied.
Colt hugged onto his knees. "But without her here... It... It feels like dying would be easier..."
Pakki grabbed a rock, throwing it out into the void as far as he could. "Don't say that. If you die, you'll lose everything!"
Colt teared up a little, his voice somber. "But I've already lost everything--"
Pakki grabbed onto his necklace. "No you haven't! You still have your memories of her! You still have your life! If Gwen was here at this very moment... She'd tell you to fight! What matters is your life! Losing your life means everything you've done up to this point is meaningless! That her sacrifice to save us was meaningless! So don't you dare give up... Fight, for her sake! Push forward, even if you can't anymore...!"Meanwhile, Faust went deeper into the cave. He saw a wooden barricade, burning it down to reveal a hidden room. Kevin called out. "Alright guys, I'm done!" He looked around, waving to Pakki and Colt. He looked around, seeing Faust walk back out from where the wooden barricade stood - a purple glow coming from his eyes.
"W-What.. Did you do?" Kevin asked, a little concerned.
Faust shrugged. "...Took an oath to be a visionshaper."
"That's... A huge commitment, you know that?" Kevin crossed his arms.
"Eh... It seemed cool." Faust responded. "Besides.. If we're going THERE, I might as well..."
Pakki approached them. "Goinnnggg... Where exactly?"
